My friend is crashing out because her husband, who has been abroad since 2021, wants to relocate his brother instead of her. Back in 2021, her husband’s father retired and received about ₦13–₦14M as his retirement benefits. He used part of that money to send him abroad so he’d be able to send money home and support the family. That was the plan, and it happened. Over the years, he has consistently sent money home to his wife and child, as well as to his parents. As time went on, he got a better job, became more financially stable, and started sending even more money. He increased his wife’s monthly allowance and also increased the amount he sent to his father. Earlier this year, he told his wife he wanted to bring his younger brother to Canada. She was shocked at how he could choose to bring his brother first when she and her child were still in Nigeria. She felt they should come first. Her husband explained his reasons and said his father sacrificed his retirement money to allow him to relocate and because of that sacrifice, he feels he owes it to his family to help his younger brother first. He also added that once his brother is settled in and starts working, the responsibility of supporting the family back home won’t rest on him alone anymore. That would make it much easier for him to bring her. She disagreed completely and suggested that if he truly wanted to repay his father, he could simply save up the amount his father spent on him and give it back to him instead of bringing his brother abroad first. To her, they should be the priority. The husband, on the other hand, insists that because his father emptied his pension to help him relocate, the normal and honorable thing to do is to repay that sacrifice by helping his brother first. Please, I’d like to hear your thoughts, who do you think is right in this situation, the husband or the wife? She'll be reading your comments.

".....he was cooking, he was cleaning, he was leading, not just sitting depressed....." That's a real man she got and it made her honouring him very easy. But when a woman is dealing with a jobless, lazy emitional and egocentric sapa bien alpha maggot, her life would be miserable and she would be bound to misbehave. You all remember Peter Nwachukwu right? Osinachi was all and humble and she still ended up dead. The partner you are dealing with is very important.

“My husband was out of a job for 11 months, and he worked at my company and earned a salary. He told me we had to cut down our expenses, like selling one out of the 2 cars, and reducing our domestic staffs” “After that conversation, he took up some responsibilities around the house. At some point, he did deliveries to some of my customers” “During this period, I was very careful of the things I say or do to him, because he might have been my employee but he was still my husband and my leader” - J Bums talks on how her husband worked in her company for the period he was out of a job. 🎥: Ife Agoro

I have just watched the press conference Arambi granted yesterday, where he called for Peter Obi to be arrested and imprisoned following Festus Keyamo’s statement. I am very curious about how Arambi has so much money, power, and relevance that he called a press conference less than 24 hours after Keyamo, speaking irrelevant jargon. If he doesn't have the money, power, and relevance, then who funded the press conference? Is it Tinubu’s government that he is speaking and working for?✍️

Dear Gen Z creators, I understand the desire to be authentic and tell your story exactly as it happened. But must every detail be shared exactly the way it happened? For example, instead of saying, "I slept with so many men at 16," you could say, "Growing up, I made choices I deeply regret today. I was young, vulnerable, and lacked proper guidance, but those experiences shaped the person I've become." The lesson is still passed across. The honesty is still there. But your dignity is preserved. Remember, the internet never forgets. Years from now, your future children, employer, business partners, or spouse may come across that content. Authenticity doesn't mean revealing every intimate detail. Sometimes, wisdom is knowing what to say, how to say it, and what to leave unsaid. Tell your story. Teach your lesson. But don't let temporary content create a permanent digital footprint you'll later wish you could erase. 👌

Iyinoluwa Aboyeji, co-founder of Flutterwave, reveals that the President of Nigeria doesn't know what is going on in the country. He says President's reality is constructed. He's in a motorcade driving so fast, so he can't see the surrounding, his phone is with an aide, and he doesn't read newspapers. He has security briefings and that's all he knows.

@saniyusuf You guys always present SE landmass thing in a Negative way. Lagos is the Most advance state in Nigeria by most Econ. Stats, yet the smallest state In SE is bigger than Lagos, so what’s this fuss?

I have said this. The SE is the easiest place in Nigeria to develop. The only homogeneous region in the country. One language, one religion, one ethnicity and nearly 40 million residents. The only thing the Southeast lacks is land mass. It's super tiny. My state, Yobe, is larger than all 5 eastern states combined by a factor of almost 1.5.

Values have eroded and I agree …but we haven’t “essentially deviated” from what motivated our parents !! In the era of our parents …they would use a noble job like farming …to underscore the fate that awaits if we don’t study hard in school!! Wasn’t that a decadence of sort? …was farming not a noble activity ? —Our parents steered us away from it in Favour of what held prestige and societal elevation! The reality today is that TikToking ..Streaming …etc now provide prestige and affluence …so society swings with it ..just as it swung with Medicine..Law and Engineering!! That’s essentially my point -that the same motivations of yesterday -still determines our behavior today!!

Olodo Uprising !! Do you really think our parents wanted us to to score good grades or be Engineers because they liked “construction”? Dear Ycee…hasn’t it always been— “means to ends” ???
CHUKS 🍥@ChuksEricE

"Nigerian society is no longer celebrating academic excellence. It’s not even Yahøø culture anymore; now we have a 'Peller culture.' This 'Olodo' uprising we are witnessing is terrible. It feels like we are trying so hard to accommodate ignorance so people won’t feel bad, and now they seem to be the majority. The massive att@ck on Nigeria’s educational system is alarming, aside from kidn@ppings and Bøko Haram att@cks." —Ycee
