@joshshepperd The diversity you find in American academia—in contrast to the diversity you find in the Premier League—does violate the US Constitution.

Now that I know who Brandon is, I’m completely intrigued that his account consists of him signing onto the interweb on a daily basis to announce that entire academic disciplines should be shut down. This guy is going to be the Education Secretary in Trump‘s third term.

There are and have been thoughtful sociologists: Shils, Nisbet, e.g. But the greatest threat to sociology is sociologists. Sadly, what prevents them from seeing this are the very same vices that destroyed their field: closemindedness, political obsession, intellectual hubris.

You could replace everyone in academia with random people drawn from the general population and give half of them tenure and you would have a better chance of improving that to something functional than you would starting from the people employed by universities right now.

@ForeignPolicy History, geology, geography, UN resolutions, and common sense have been, are, and will continue to be on Argentina's side. There are factual, valid, and well-founded arguments that demonstrate this. England remains there solely thanks to its global power.

The future of British sovereignty over the Falklands is in greater question now than at any time since the end of the war, while Argentina’s claims have become both more persistent and politically unifying, writes Antonio De Loera-Brust. foreignpolicy.com/2026/07/23/fal…

The Vikings are the most overrated tribe of our history. They lost every battle on an even playing field against the English and they sold our (European) women as sex slaves to muslims. I don’t know why they are so revered.

@nfgfbpa Mais um brasileiro retardado. Querido, cala a boca.

Nope, I've been talking about the Falklands since I learned about the war in school, little girl, and people who know me in real life know that not only have I supported the Falklanders for years but I'm also a donor to Falkands wildlife organizations. Nice try though. What do you even do to help wildlife. In case you didn't know, X is not real life, know that you think it is because you have nothing else. It's not my fault that you have problems that make you think that me talking the Falkands on my profile these past weeks (because your team started the controversy during the world cup) makes you think it proves some weird point, unless if you're a child who thinks it proves something. I actually have mentioned the Falklands on my account before 2026. How ridiculous. I care about the Uyghurs being persecuted in China. I talk about it outside of X but haven't mentioned them on my account. If I mention them now on X is someone from China going to call me fake because I never mentioned it since 2023? How absurd. You just created your account this month.

It’s always easier to insult an entire nation than face history. “Bullies”, “racists”… whatever today’s label is. None of that changes the fact that we have sovereignty over that land. They’re British occupants. Obviously they want to stay British. What kind of nonsense is this?
🤍𝕁𝕆🤍@jomickane

This lady lives on the Falkland Islands, she does penguin tours for a living. Since the Argentinian team showed that banner during the worldcup she has been making videos answering peoples questions. She says all the people that live there all want to stay British, they hate Argentina & she says they are bullies. They have absolutely nothing to do with them

@SouthEuro Finns have a much stronger musical tradition (Portugal has never produced anyone like Jean Sibelius), and David Hume was Scottish. 🙄!

Not just Italians. What historical relevancy do Finns and Latvians have compared with Portuguese? What's Danish or Scottish philosophy next to Greek philosophy? The vast majority of Europe is nothing compared with Spanish and their existence has added nothing to the world.
Incelius Von Blackpillson@Blackpillson_

Southern Europeans don't need "whiteness". It's "whiteness" that needs Southern Europeans. The fuck does an Italian has to gain by being associated with Estonians? Lol.

@IrnMoo You should organize an ejection referendum in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. The hell-yes side would win by a landslide.

The answer is definitely not AA for conservatives, but here in no particular order are some things you could instead. 1. Training on in-group political bias for job committees. 2. Implement double-blind review of applications at key stages in the process (e.g. for long list). 1/

6 days of handwringing about the lack of conservatism and I don’t think I’ve seen a single concrete policy proposal? (“hire more conservatives” is a goal not a policy proposal)

@Martin46895448 @eduardotoniolli You are the liar. There was no uprising against the British. Rivero's actions were motivated by a dispute with Vernet over pay and working conditions. The guy depicted in your bills is as fictional as Pegasus.

Argentina isn’t hated because we think it’s perfect. Argentina is hated because it refuses to apologize for greatness. Confidence looks like arrogance to people who were taught to settle.
