🚨 School Board Member previously charged with child rape has now been Indicted on New Charges of Engaging a Minor in Sexual Activity & Possessing Child Sexual Abuse Material A Grainger County school board member is now facing additional charges after already being indicted on rape charges. THE NEW CHARGES Blanken was indicted on: • 1 count of engaging a minor in sexual activity • 2 counts of possessing child sexual abuse material PREVIOUS CHARGES He was previously indicted on rape charges from incidents in December 2025 and February 2026. SCHOOL DISTRICT RESPONSE School leaders banned Blanken from all school property after the initial charges. Director of Schools Mark Briscoe said ouster proceedings will be initiated if he is convicted or pleads guilty. The case is ongoing.

I genuinely don’t think people understand how insane this is. In just 50 years, we’ve wiped out around 70% of animal populations on Earth. Not hundreds of years ago. Not ancient history. In one lifetime. Entire species disappearing. Forests going silent. Oceans being emptied. And somehow the world treats it like just another statistic instead of a full-blown emergency. That should scare all of us a lot more than it does.
