Batigol fits Kunigami better for me. The strong shots, the lion's mane, Fiorentina got relegated and he single-handedly dragged them back up (hero). He transferred to Roma and he refused to celebrate when he scored against Fiorentina on his way to winning the Italian league, he was even shown crying. Batigol famously begged doctors to amputate his legs. So many wild card echoes here.

@imrandom1234567 Batistuta was older, right? I'm convinced he was Kunigami's blueprint. I wrote a thread about it somewhere. Serie A also had George Weah, Vieri, Francesco Totti. Del Piero was always the number 10 though, he was a playmaker first. R9 redefined what a striker meant.

@pxgnation Delpiero was though, at his absolute peak, it was a serious debate, then he tore his ACL in 1998, and he lost his burst and had to change his whole style of play, R9 wasn't even the clear the best striker in serie a because Batistuta existed.

@imrandom1234567 Del Piero was never R9. Those are 2 very different player profiles. Prime R9 is untouchable. When I said Adriano Inter fans hopium next R9, I mean R9 after his knees went bust. R9 had multiple peaks. We are talking strictly within Serie A and R9 left in 2002 to join Madrid.

@nicosbbs Many Nagi dynamics are better than Nagi Reo, with Reo it's not often fun and can sometimes be boring or angsty, I don't like it much, with almost everyone else it's actually competitive and fun and sometimes funny, same with Reo, I enjoy his interactions with anyone but Nagi
