Yesterday at 8am this was an idea, today at 1pm it's a working app... Thoughts is a menubar app that lets you take notes in a few ways; voice, screenshot, image uploads or text. Next up: Mind reading 🧠 Designed in @MagicPathAI, animations done with @claudeai Design and the app finished in @cursor_ai. What a time to be alive! Screencast (with guests maybe) on the process next week 👀

In November 2023, after Sam Altman had been fired, it was reported that OpenAI met secretly with Anthropic and asked Dario to merge Anthropic with OpenAI and then take over as CEO of the new company. And that Anthropic turned them down. I posted about this at the time. But it was never corroborated, and so many angry people said it was obviously false and fake that I eventually deleted the post. Today we got testimony from Ilya Sutskever under oath that this actually did happen.

@richiemcilroy is yours optimizing charging to 80% or full? I found when it only charges to 80% that drain was very quick but that extra 100>80 lasted a considerably longer time than 80-60.

a couple of months ago, I upgraded from a M1 Pro 32gb RAM, to a M4 Max 128gb RAM and honestly, it's made hardly any difference Rust builds still take a ridiculously long time battery dies within an hour or so with a couple of agents running and I'm still not running any local AI models
