Elizabeth Olsen complains she wasn't paid as much as her MCU co-stars Robert Downey Jr. or Mark Ruffalo: “I don’t always get paid equally, but then I also haven’t had multiple [award] nominations. I don’t know how much weight I carry, I don’t know how to value myself.” Was she underpaid because she's a woman?

@friendsfan_5 @WongUpdates It is because producers are thinking that way. And for general public audiences, it doesn’t seem to matter how the movie was made ? Thats the question in my head. But I’m all for human made art, being an artist myself

@imsidbinu @WongUpdates A lot and negatively. There's no place for it in art. It will never be able to capture the soul of a film like humans do.

@BrandonDavisBD Lets be honest, Avengers endgame wasn’t that epic in Digital IMAX. And this film isnt made for 70mm imaxes. Dolby or other premium formats are better choices for them

I think it flat out sucks big that Avengers: Doomsday won’t be released in IMAX to open. Yes, Dolby is an incredible format, there are other great options. I wish there were more IMAX screens and they divided screenings but they have their Dune 3 deal, sensibly. Dunesday is gonna be dope but it’s rough to see the probably biggest of the year movie lose an epic format that a lot of people want to watch it (myself included).

IMAX CFO says Disney’s ‘Infinity Vision’ is a marketing play “From our view, we feel it’s a marketing play to try and offset the fact that they don’t have an Imax platform” “[Marvel fans are] among the savvy and most discerning moviegoers out there, and there’s a reason why we’re the undisputed leader” (via @THR)

@DekubStan @kaikaitheaiguy @WongUpdates I think its possible that it would hold the same enjoymental value if its a good thing, but wont have the same sentimental value that handmade stuff holds. And in the end, even 3d is just another computer tool

@SceneinCinema LieMaxes are the real scam bro wake tf up😂 And they mentioned they aren’t charging any extra for Infinity Vision. Plus, IMAX doesn’t offer any creative shit that other formats can’t. Their marketing is based off of a camera and film stock. Nothing other cameras don’t have

🚨 Marvel's Infinity Vision Scam is getting exposed by IMAX. After Dune: Part Three took over IMAX screens for it's release date the rivalry began as Warner Bros. secured a three-week exclusive IMAX window for the film, starting December 18, 2026. This move effectively "locked out" Disney’s massive blockbuster Avengers: Doomsday, which is scheduled for the exact same release date. Without access to the limited number of IMAX screens which drive significant box office revenue, Disney faced a major strategic disadvantage. Rather than moving their release date, Disney introduced Infinity Vision at CinemaCon 2026 as a way to create its own "premium" real estate. A certification, not new hardware. It is a "stamp of approval" applied to existing Premium Large Format (PLF) auditoriums that meet Disney's standards. To qualify, a theater must have a screen wider than 50 feet, high-contrast laser projection, and immersive spatial audio like Dolby Atmos. IMAX CFO Natasha Fernandes dismissed it as a "pure marketing play" designed to offset Disney's lack of IMAX access. Unlike IMAX, which uses proprietary cameras and expanded aspect ratios (up to 1.43:1), Infinity Vision uses standard widescreen (2.39:1) and offers no unique visual format. Directors like Christopher Nolan and Denis Villeneuve actively design sequences for IMAX cameras and aspect ratios, creating footage that literally cannot be replicated in standard formats. Infinity Vision offers zero creative differentiation, zero technical exclusivity, and zero reason for filmmakers to adapt their craft. If you choose Infinity Vision, then you are paying extra money for no new technology, no new screens, no new cameras, no new projection system. Just a certificate with the experience of existing technology in a normal theatre.

@ReverseGoblin @AvengersUpdated Why would i pretend to be a fan lol. I like both Marvel and Dune. But IMAX is becoming a marketing gimmick for cinephiles. Because why would they act like they own an aspect ratio? If studios don’t agree to that exclusivity, any screen can have that full image again

IMAX responds to Disney creating ‘Infinity Vision’ “You know from our view it’s a pure marketing play to try and offset the fact that they don’t have an IMAX platform or brand for ‘AVENGERS DOOMSDAY’. It doesn’t offer the consumer anything that they couldn’t get yesterday. Marvel fans we believe are among the savviest, most discerning movie goers out there. And there is a reason why we are the undisputed leader in premium cinema worldwide. No one can match our relationships with filmmakers.” (via: investors.imax.com/news-events/ev…)

Once, Virat said, “I felt alone in a room full of people.” Well, the more I see him, the more I understand why he felt alone. He is more of a professional cricketer than a people person at times. Sometimes the aggression is unwanted. MS and Rohit led teams to 7-8 trophies while maintaining calmness for 90% of their careers. I haven’t seen a successful player unable to find common ground with him at his lowest, apart from MS. I know the aggression ups his game, but it took Ricky an IPL to whitewash his image. The worst part is he doesn’t like it when someone else does it. In every IPL, he gets into the face of chilled players like Shreyas, Gill, or KL. He is a better professional, but MSD and Rohit are way ahead in how they carry themselves. It sums up why he is always at the centre of a lot of ego clashes—whether it’s Kumble, Dada or Gauti.

Felt the same. The movie tries too hard to make his father the villain, whilst, if those boys did not have a father like him, they would most likely end up with a tough life. Stay true to your roots fellas. Give credit to people who literally defined your ways of thinking.
UrbanSam@Iamsamdan

Why do people consider Michael Jackson's father, Joe Jackson as this evil villain who h@ted his own kids? Everywhere I turn, people just talk down on him and say he was the most evil father in history. Lol. These days, Joe Jackson gets brought up every time somebody wants to feel morally superior about parenting. "He beat his kids." "He was abusive." "He traumatized Michael." Okay. Let's have the full conversation then. This man took 9 children out of Gary, Indiana, one of the most unforgiving cities in America, and turned them into the most successful musical family in the history of entertainment. Not one or two of them. Nine. In an era where the streets were hungry and the odds were designed specifically to swallow young Black boys whole. Was Joe Jackson soft? No. Did he spare the rod? No. Did he run his household like a boot camp? Absolutely. However, what people conveniently forget when they're typing their outrage from the comfort of 2026 is that Gary in the 1960s was not a place that rewarded softness. Poverty was the default. Distraction was everywhere. And one wrong turn for any of those boys meant a completely different life. Not a worse career. A completely different life. Even Jermaine defended his father. Tito also defended his father. Jackie defended his father. These are the men who were actually in that house. Who actually felt what they felt and lived what they lived. And they came out the other side and said he did what he had to do. That's not Stockholm syndrome. That's grown men with perspective looking back at a father who was trying to build something in impossible conditions. The same discipline people call abuse is what produced the moonwalk. The same toughness people call trauma is what produced Thriller. You cannot separate Michael Jackson's extraordinary work ethic, the obsessive rehearsing, the relentless pursuit of perfection, from the environment that forged it. Joe Jackson didn't just make his sons practice. He made them understand that mediocrity was not an option. And they took that lesson and changed the world with it. There is no Jackson 5 without Joe Jackson. There is no Michael Jackson without Joe Jackson. There is no "Billie Jean," no "Thriller," no moonwalk on Motown 25 without a father who refused to let his children be ordinary. History loves to make villains out of hard men. Especially hard Black men. It's easier to call Joe Jackson a monster than to sit with the uncomfortable truth that sometimes the people who push you the hardest are the ones who love you the most. He was not a perfect man. But he was exactly the father those boys needed for the moment they were born into. Respect the architect. Joe Jackson is a legend who should be respected!!!
