It appears @TweetBot is widely failing, are other third party clients still able to authenticate?

@stilgherrian Copy the partition to 2 fresh mechanisms, attempt recovery from one, leave the other and original unmolested.
English

@stilgherrian I wonder if it would be quicker to dd the volume to an ssd and restore from that.

The shitfuckery with the @twitter iOS app is back, forcing the broken ‘For you’ Gordian timeknot as the default again.
English

@twtrrr I see race as an intentional red herring on this subject, invoked by conservatives as performative gotcha whataboutism.
To me it’s primarily a matter of cultural acknowledgement and respect, with a goal of promoting and embracing diversity.
The systemic faults are orthogonal.

@AmandaRishworth @BCAcomau @australian Carving out special cases for marginalised and vulnerable cohorts is an admission of abject policy failure.
Employment, education, housing and every other component of subsistence should never be encrusted with qualifiers.
English

We’re working with the @BCAcomau to create and implement a new disability employment pilot.
The pilot will improve employment outcomes for people with disability, while also working out new ways to drive organisational cultural change.

Thu plan: It'll be a quiet day today, pottering at my desk doing whatever small organising things I can do with a slow computer and a slower mind. Weirdly, I'm feeling a bit burnt out, but not in a big way.
Yes, exactly the same plan as yesterday. I'm taking is easy while I can.

English

@incorrect Yeah. I'm persisting because I'd said it was going to be a thing. But I won't postpone or again. If for some reason it can't happen next week then I'll drop it.

@stilgherrian Squeezing every last, sweet ounce out of last year.

@stilgherrian @upulie I’ve always classified you both as agents of (controlled) chaos.

@twtrrr @Kate_Hamley @HomelessnessNSW That’s my point, as long as they behave in this way, threatening and inflicting homelessness is effectively a tenable position for them to hold.
Call it what it truly is, don’t let them drive the narrative.
English

@incorrect @_SocialDemocrat @Kate_Hamley @HomelessnessNSW *is politically untenable. No politician ever promoted themselves by promising their electorates more #homelessness - yet none of them have done enough to stop it or create #housing for those left behind by the rampant capitalism that’s encouraged. #auspol
English

An increase in Commonwealth Rent Assistance and income support payments would see less people at risk of and experiencing homelessness - it’s that simple! abc.net.au/radio/programs…
English

@twtrrr @_SocialDemocrat @Kate_Hamley @HomelessnessNSW Any policy, or confluence of policies, which tolerates the threat or infliction of homelessness as an acceptable outcome, should be politically untenable.
The manifestation of profit should always be subservient to the provision of subsistence.
English

@incorrect @_SocialDemocrat @Kate_Hamley @HomelessnessNSW 100% true, I wish every $ I had paid in rent had bought me “my home”. I wish owning a home was assured. That our property market was one for a change of pace, lifestyle, convenience, etc. Not because our lease ran out. #HousingForAll #auspol - meanwhile #IncreaseRentAssistance
English

@_SocialDemocrat Where, precisely, did I invoke the string ‘capitalist’?
These interactions betray an apparent propensity to fire from the hip ahead of ingesting what is being replied to. I welcome constructive dialogue, but request a modicum of comprehension with contributions.
English

@incorrect @Judith54Nunn @twtrrr @Kate_Hamley @HomelessnessNSW There is no such thing as a healthy capitalist market.
English

@Judith54Nunn @twtrrr @_SocialDemocrat @Kate_Hamley @HomelessnessNSW In healthy markets, subsidies are rare and ephemeral. The fact anyone is dependent on it for more than short-term relief betrays the fact our housing market is chronically broken. It should be a tool available during crisis, but ultimately the market should be weened off it.
English

@_SocialDemocrat @twtrrr @Kate_Hamley @HomelessnessNSW That was precisely my fundamental point. I was agreeing with you, that as an immediate action it should be increased, but as a long term policy it shouldn’t be necessary nor exist.
Relying on rent for the provision of long-term primary residence should be politically untenable.
English

@incorrect @twtrrr @Kate_Hamley @HomelessnessNSW Okay, the problem with this is the housing market is cooked, it is very very broken and can’t be fixed in anything short of decades, that’s how broken it is. In the meantime we need rent assistance to survive. That’s just a fact.
