Just as a word of advice bro, I would recommend not to say “I’m Muslim and it’s forbidden in Islam to listen to music.” It can terrorise the religion and make you ultimately sound like a bad guy, because you’re essentially saying something absolute and inviting a debate, which is not advisable professionally. I would recommend you say something along the lines of “I don’t include music in my edits. I focus on visuals and structure. You’re free to add music after delivery or outsource that part.” If they say “Why?” you can respond with something like “It’s a personal religious boundary I keep in my work.” Give them an alternative as well, use Halal background as an alternative and if they like it they can keep it, if not, up to them.
