@sravytweets America has changed over the decades, like every country does. But it has changed for the worse. It all started with the 2007-08 financial crisis. When people have plenty and feel secure, there is no place for hate, Now we have record inflation & social media polarization.

This, exactly is the beauty I know - America. The very beauty that embraced me, gave me many opportunities to grow & shine!! America isn’t the hateful rhetoric we see today from a section of people. God bless little Roman!! God bless his wonderful neighbours!! God bless America!!

The ~106M "out of work" figure is the number of people **not in the labor force** (BLS June 2026). Civilian population 16+: ~275M Labor force: ~169M Not in labor force: ~106M Of those 106M, only ~6M say they want a job. Most are retirees, students, disabled, or caregivers. Unemployment rate is 4.2%. Work visas (H-1B etc.) are capped and target specific skill shortages where employers must demonstrate qualified Americans aren't available. Broader participation drop ties heavily to demographics and aging. Skill/location mismatches exist even with low official unemployment.

With almost 106 million Americans out of work, why are we issuing even one work visa?

JD’s baby’s middle name is Neel, Sanskrit for blue. It isn’t very popular in India, but it was the most common name among my Indian American friends growing up, for obvious reasons. Indian-Americans typically have Indian rooted names but not necessarily ones popular in India!

@omarali50 Local government is non-existent in India. It is either too corrupt where resources are siphoned off for State level elections or they are simply non-existent, for example India's Silicon Valley Bengaluru doesn't have a mayor!

Especially strange when you consider that traffic law enforcement and basic sanitation are low hanging fruit.. Political will is lacking, not resources.. These are easy things to fix with fines and enforcement (EVEN by corrupt police and municipalities.. They can get their cut either way)
Niks@Pivot2Centre

India does 1st world stuff such as this and then India can’t solve 3rd world problems such a city roads, urban drainage, and urban garbage mgmt!

@ShadesOfBlueAn1 X's pay for engagement model has made the world a worse place. It has made people take extreme positions and hate everyone. It is just now starting to spill into the real world in America. Not good for the society.

@JBlunt1018 Every Republican after him will be shaped in his image for a considerable time to come. Look at the influence Stephen Miller (the shadow Prime Minister) now has over the GOP. He isn't the fringe anymore. He has captured the GOP.

18 year old American Vaibhav Bhaskar scored the highest GPA of 11.99 in any school district ever. 😱😱 No gaming, just overloaded himself with 20 AP COURSES and scoring well in all of them. It’s called DOING THE WORK.🫵😃 He got accepted into Duke University (an American Diploma mill according to the haters).🤣🤣 People in the replies prove why racism is for low iq because they are struggling to understand or even utilize the internet to find out how this is possible. Instead they choose to go after his Indian- origin and express dumb forms of bigotry. No wonder the fake narratives illustrate the hater’s own lack of intelligence. P.S: When anyone in the ‘diaspora’ tries to tell that immigration talking points should be a non-issue for anyone who is American, they are choosing to be in a convenient bubble where they don’t see how this is being used as a psyop to attack Indians in the West irrespective of their visa status.

"Indians have IQ of 72" is often said by racists who have an IQ of 72.
M9 USA🇺🇸@M9USA_

🚨 WOW: Florida student Vaibhav Bhaskar graduated with a record 11.99 GPA after taking dozens of advanced classes. 👏👏 He is now headed to @DukeU, where he plans to study finance and economics. The achievement set a new Florida state record, but it also led the school district to change how GPAs are calculated so scores like this won't happen again. For those wondering: Context: Vaibhav took on such a massive volume of advanced schoolwork that, under the district's weighted GPA system, his GPA reached a record 11.99. The district has now revised its grading formula to prevent scores that high in the future.

@KamalKoSalam @ShadesOfBlueAn1 improving themselves, they want to kick out Indians, Idi Amin style, so that no one is pressured to get educated and work hard. This is their anger at what Vivek Ramsamy said too. Anyway, their country, their rules, their fate. What can I saw as a non-citizen here.

@KamalKoSalam @ShadesOfBlueAn1 These people suffer from racial anxiety because Indian immigrants are doing better than the average White. This is because Indian immigration has been highly selective with most educated and motivated people who'd obviously do well if given a fair chance. So, rather than

@ShadesOfBlueAn1 A big risk in H1B which is not discussed is the rug pull the government does through caprious policies and delays. The rules around the visa 15 years ago isn't same as what it is today. Those who had GC sponsored back then and stuck are subjected to capricious rules.

As America commemorates 250 years of independence, the @usmint will begin striking this new $1 gold coin to honor the enduring legacy of liberty and a lasting symbol of patriotism. Featuring President Trump, it celebrates the strength of American values, and the promise of a nation dedicated to preserving freedom for all.

Anthony D'Esposito (current DOL IG, former NY Congressman & NYPD detective): **Main reported controversy (2024 NYT):** Hired his fiancée’s daughter and a woman he was reportedly having an affair with (Devin Faas) for part-time congressional district office roles. ~$29k in taxpayer funds paid before it stopped when his fiancée found out. Raised House ethics questions on nepotism & personal relationships with staff. He denied misconduct. **Gun incident:** 2015 — service weapon stolen from unattended car. NYPD docked him 20 vacation days for failing to secure it. **Off-duty conduct:** Earlier NYPD discipline (lost 15 vacation days) for working as a DJ and serving alcohol without authorization. No verified public reports on a specific “bar bouncer situation.” He also faced a local ethics issue as Hempstead councilman for not recusing on a vote benefiting relatives (judge cited violation of ethics code spirit; no punishment). These are from news investigations, court records & NYPD disciplinary actions predating his IG role. He has a background in policing, firefighting & local government.

@JobsNowPR LOL! 0.8% of the US workforce. If H1B is ended, it won't create anything. It'll only cause more jobs to go overseas. Keep crying racists.

If Trump had created hundreds of thousands of good paying jobs for American citizens by ending H-1B, PERM and OPT back in 2025 he would have an 80% approval rate right now.

@ShadesOfBlueAn1 They're now using the same troupes against Indias which Nazis used against Jews. Except H1B is used as a euphemism for Indians. Same accusation of Indians stealing your wealth through trickery ("fraud"). But they don't want to be called Nazis so pretending to ally with Jews.

And here I was thinking Jason was the reasonable one in the All In Podcast orbit. Starting to see these All In Podcasters trying really hard to repurpose the visa for their start up needs?
@jason@Jason

The best way to stop H-1B abuse and pay down our debt is to auction off H-1B visas with a starting price of $30,000 each. Google, Microsoft, Apple and META will run most of these up to $100,000 each! @JDVance @vp Mr. Vice President, please consider! No one is spending $30-100k+ to bring in a $50,000 IT worker. Thank you for your attention to this matter!
