Kid what the fuck do you think the DSA was originally conceived of as? It was molded by Trots to capture all kinds of tendencies on the left and give them a collective Ambien. A "bus station" of fellow travelers in state department socialism. What you describe is exactly what has been objectively happening for 50 years now.
The tendencies are allowed to form caucuses, in groups, they are processed into a non-party identity group that allows for proceduralism and endless NPC comittees to produce nothing and do nothing under the guise the procedure produces power structures (that never attain any actual power).
It's a complete joke and is functioning EXACTLY as intended.

For all the energy online lefties spend trashing DSA, I'm surprised that more don't just join DSA and create a faction and reshape the org. It's remarkably open and and a highly organized group could have major impact. There's really no need to insist on your own marginalization

I wouldn't say I've cultivated relationships with governments - more like government-owned entities. In China's case, the media, and in Korea's case, travel. And tbh I feel like I've been quite humble about most of this stuff. I don't pretend to know everything about the DPRK - in fact there's far more I don't know than I do know, but it's funny how I'm the one with multiple China-based DPRK contacts in my WeChat, am on the email white-list for their travel company's Pyongyang office... while this chick acts like some sort of expert despite having never interacted with a single north Korean ever

Enough with this back & forth. I know we've never had friendly interactions before, but I bet if we were to ever meet irl, we'd see eye to eye on many things and learn to agree to disagree on others. If you're ever here in China, I'll take you to meet DPR Koreans.
I do suggest that even when you are upset with people to not make things up about them. For one, I'm not a streamer, and if you're talking about Strait Talk, my podcast about cross-strait history and politics, that makes up only a fraction of what I do. Most of my time nowadays is dedicated to running Taedong Tours, and I've never LARPed as a worker, even though I've spent years in incredibly hot Chinese restaurant kitchens.
