Please someone make general purpose precompiled rubies. I can help, but I’ve got too many obligations to drive the grunt work. You’d solve one of the biggest problems for broader ruby adoption and help the entire ecosystem.

This caught my eye 👀 André Arko (@indirect), Samuel Giddins (@segiddins), and Sam Stephenson are experimenting with a new way of managing Ruby versions: andre.arko.net/2025/08/25/rv-… It only works for Ruby 3.4+, so not super helpful when wrestling with legacy Rails apps that are running on older versions of Ruby. But if it sticks? Teams will be grateful 7–10 years from now. github.com/spinel-coop/rv… Remember: there was a time before Bundler. Exploring new ideas with open minds is healthy.
