@squrrlwhsprr26 @CyclingForMind 'Natural' is usually marketing jargon with no legal meaning. The Australian brand I have contains peanuts, vegetable oil, salt and sugar. These are all 'natural'. I would guess that some cheap US peanut butter is made with horrible highly processed oil.

The correlation between container size and car dependency is weak. It is more relevant to a 10kg bag of rice and less so to a 600g jar of mayo, which the average person walking to a supermarket can easily carry home.

So many comments, so little logic. Obviously a family or group of people could eat a large jar of mayo within its use by date while also eating a healthy diet. Refrigerated foods like this last for months.
