@By_NathanBrown The last time the series ran for the first time on a temporary street circuit, the race was one of the worst in the previous 10 years. It was unwatchable. This is big stakes with a giant headwind. Hard to be optimistic.

@JoeyBarnes85 Penske did get a Medal of Freedom from Trump, so there’s that.

Thinking about this quote by Graham Rahal on Tuesday: “If you really are an IndyCar fan, this is a huge opportunity that's been given to us. It hasn't been given to NASCAR, not to Formula 1, it's been given to IndyCar.” And I find myself wondering, why was #IndyCar chosen?

@By_NathanBrown There is no upside to doing an event associated with Trump. It’s his event, not IndyCar’s. Trump ruins everything he touches. Hopefully, when this is over, Mr. Penske won’t feel like strangling himself with that Medal of Freedom he got from Trump.

I think it's wholly fair to have all 3 thoughts concurrently: -Racing in the nation's capital to celebrate the country's 250th is very cool. -Doing so with the full-throated backing & support of a lightning rod administration is a tenuous decision to make. -Attempting to pull off a free street race with 6 months to plan and a yet-to-be announced track in the nation's capital is an insane task to try and pull off safely, successfully & effectively for a sport that has had a lot of setbacks/delays in recent years.

@champwebdotnet This gives me the creeps. The series already said a D.C. race was not feasible without a year-plus of planning. Everyone is putting a happy spin on this, but where are the details?

@marshallpruett @RACERHQ Lots of misgivings here. The event will be politicized, and as is the case with everything associated with Trump, a lot of innocent people will be caught in the blast radius.

Indiana Congressional redistricting; why I went from a “hard no” to a “hell yes”. When the talk of redistricting first came out, I was a hard no. Indiana Republicans have a super majority in both House and Senate, hold every elected state office and have 7 of 9 Congressional seats. We were recognized as having drawn “fair” districts from the last election cycle and I was concerned about the precedent redistricting may set, even though it is perfectly within our lawful right to do so. Indiana elected officials were then invited to Washington to hear why it was important that we redistrict. We heard from many of President Trump’s top advisors about all of the great things they wanted to do for not just Hoosiers, but every American. Important work such as securing our borders, ensure fair elections, bring down energy costs, healthcare costs, higher education costs, everyday living costs. They spoke of bringing jobs back to America and building a job creating atmosphere for the job creators. Things that greatly benefit the people I was elected to represent. All Hoosiers, and every American. There were no threats or coercion. Only plans, commitment, and optimistic hope. If the Democrats take back the House in the next election, not only will these very important things become impossible, but we’ll be stuck with a condensed 2 year version of the last time the Democrats held the House. This pushed me to the “open minded” position. Since then, I had a major surgery at a privately owned hospital and got to experience healthcare as it should be. As President Trump wants to make all healthcare for all people. Since then, Charlie Kirk was assassinated and the Democrats mocked him and what he stood for. Since then, we’ve discovered how badly Democrats have gerrymandered their states for years, offsetting Hoosier voices. Since then, we’ve discovered Democrat states allowing illegals to vote, offsetting Hoosier voices. Since then, Conservatives have been increasingly called Nazi’s or Fascists. Since then, we’ve seen very well-funded Antifa protests against federal agents trying to enforce our long standing immigration laws. Since then, the Democrats have shut down government, knowingly inflicting pain on Americans and even publicly stating that it’s one of the few leverages they have. Since then, the Democrat candidate for Virginia Attorney General stated his desire to put two bullets in his opponents head and wished his "little fascist children" would die in his mother’s arms. There was no major outcry from any Democrat candidate and even the Democrat candidate for Virginia Governor refused to condemn such incredibly despicable talk. Today’s Democrat party have bottomed out. They've gone so far off the rails of morality and reason as to be unrecognizable. They’ve turned towards full blown Marxism and sadly, moderate and rational Democrats appear too afraid to speak out for fear of reprisal. Or worse. Like it or not, America is divided. Good vs. Evil. Order vs. Chaos. Pick a side. This is why I am now a “hell yes” on redistricting. Today’s Democrats care about nothing other than amassing and maintaining power, regardless of the costs or consequences. This type of governance cannot be tolerated and President Trump’s policies must be given a chance to undo the damage that both parties in Washington have inflicted on Americans for decades. By redistricting, we'll be doing nothing Democrats haven’t been doing for decades and the stakes are too high to not pull out all of the stops. Let’s play by their rules for once! It’s a whole new ballgame from here on out and America’s future is at a fork in the road, Good vs. Evil. Jim Lucas Indiana State Representative

This little guy pleasures himself to fantasies of a tyrannical government murdering his political opponents There was a LOT of “chaos” yesterday at the rally, dude who rent know what liberty is. I mean I think I saw none and no arrests were made. Contrast that with 1/6/21
LibertyTalk FM@LT_FM

@timeburns1 @HoosierEnquirer Your mentally ill ilk have no claim to 'liberty' to cause chaos. Pathetic violent bed wetters who have built nothing of value. Eventually, when you go too far w violence, the Militia will be called in to restore order and it will be a glorious excision of rubbish removal. 😀

@BloggingTheBoys I live in a Midwestern city whose mediocre team is being led by a quarterback who was cut mid-season last year and was basically paid not to play because he was so bad. That team is 3 games better than the Cowboys after 6 weeks. WTF.
