@lucendacier @Drakon_Fire286 What a mech requires is correct motor feedback, semantic and technical information can be delivered via classic HUD. The pilot has to feel himself moving and feeling the mech, however integration with it's internal technical intricacies is mostly irrelevant or harmful.

Most mecha settings gloss over how the pilot manages to control a giant humanoid machine. This seems like an aspect of the setting that could be explored more. For all kinds of stories.

@SouthBayMatthay Are we going to have shipyard equivalents of TSMC plants needed to make precise machinery and advanced weaponry orbiting every planet and moon from the get-go? If a colony is advanced enough to have that, how come Earth doesn't have undisputed authority over the system by then?

I'm not a fan of Lunar War-esque combat, nor do I enjoy the classic soft sci-fi take on space war with large fleets, warp drives and lasers. I, however, am captivated by the concept of an STL interstellar conflict both because of its plausibility and the weaponry it'd involve.

@vanlaukaus @SouthBayMatthay I don't think you understand the reasons why nasapunk space combat is so effective. That's because something like Saturn's ice rings provide aprox 30 FUCKING MILLIONS times more water than all of Earth. It's a strategic asset of astronomical priority.
