@SofaMods Non opaque visors don't make sense for combat, because we have so much tech to display the surroundings via HUD and cover the face plate with armor

@lucendacier @Drakon_Fire286 What a mech requires is correct motor feedback, semantic and technical information can be delivered via classic HUD. The pilot has to feel himself moving and feeling the mech, however integration with it's internal technical intricacies is mostly irrelevant or harmful.

@Drakon_Fire286 Yes, that's what I mean. You've made a computer that can functionally read a human's mind. That's a big thing to introduce.

Most mecha settings gloss over how the pilot manages to control a giant humanoid machine. This seems like an aspect of the setting that could be explored more. For all kinds of stories.

@vanlaukaus @SouthBayMatthay Once we build a refinery at the main fuel lifelines of the system, namely Saturn and Jupiter, the problem of logistics will lose significance fast, because now you can build anything anywhere it's physically possible, not logistically. Imagine moon consisting 99% of oil

@SouthBayMatthay Are we going to have shipyard equivalents of TSMC plants needed to make precise machinery and advanced weaponry orbiting every planet and moon from the get-go? If a colony is advanced enough to have that, how come Earth doesn't have undisputed authority over the system by then?

@vanlaukaus @SouthBayMatthay Water is fuel for both rockets and humans. It's the most important resource we have. This would be million times more important once(or if) we get to fusion.

@vanlaukaus @SouthBayMatthay I don't think you understand the reasons why nasapunk space combat is so effective. That's because something like Saturn's ice rings provide aprox 30 FUCKING MILLIONS times more water than all of Earth. It's a strategic asset of astronomical priority.

@infinite_grow @ChristianHeiens Are you just angry because you can’t rape women all day? Low IQ men like you don’t contribute meaningfully to the workforce, should we get rid of you?

“Why are women doing this?” Because women are natural conservatives and they will seek to conserve whatever the existing social order is. Our social order is gay race communism mediated by libtard progressivism. So women naturally seek to conserve it because the safest bet in society is to defend the status quo, which is what women have always done since the dawn of civilization. This is why women were conservatives until the 60s. They defended the old tradition order until it was torn down. Once that social order changed, they shifted their support to the new reigning ideology. And they’ll continue to do so until that too has been torn down.

Granting women the privilege of voting signed Western civilization's death certificate.

We hired a 27-year-old associate a few months ago, and he uses Claude Cowork all day. I don't have the words to describe what is happening to our productivity. Things that would have taken months are now getting done in hours - it's changing the entire way we run our business!

@BasedBiohacker Love the faggot who sells me untested meds to be propelled by Elon's algorithms. Truly a public square in San Francisco with drug dealers all over the place while police does nothing.

@lynk0x I mean tbf the process was stupid. You absolutely shouldn't risk your home to gamble on crypto. 99% of the people that praise bitcoin success were calling these same people retarded 5 years ago.

@SelectivBreeder One fact to keep in mind is that the evil and hatred corrupts one's mind, leading to failure as we relive the narratives of our civilizational genesis. We must keep the vector of our eschatology and avoid diving into dark impulses. Nazi Germany was a clear warning to hateful.

@SelectivBreeder This is a very important insight, because it can be fixed only via purely physical separation, not a cultural|civilizational barrier. Right now only space exploration seems to offer such, especially considering the penguin-like qualities of our kind.

The incessant LARP-talk about saving a "civilization" whose corpse has been rotting for nearly a century fills me with nothing but infinite boredom; my final interest lies in the preservation of the Race—or, more precisely, those rare elements of it still worthy of salvation
