@AccursedMMA @ASOIAFQuotesGOT It’s been a minute (and his and jon’s chapters sort of bored me 👀), so I can’t say for sure with any confidence. 🤔

“She was no whore. I never bought her for you. That was a lie that Father commanded me to tell. Tysha was ... she was what she seemed to be. A crofter's daughter, chance met on the road.” Jaime Lannister

@prisy1000 @hell_line0 Because they inherently believe they shouldnt have to do it if they don’t want to. Peak entitlement/selfishness; which has been catered to for centuries so it’s deeply ingrained.

Married men who refuse to get a vasectomy after agreeing with their spouses that they’re done having children are selfish. Women go through enough with birth control, pregnancy and childbirth. The least a man can do when that door is closed is get a vasectomy.

@keesa_robinson @White_Amercan This so much; too many parents throw an ipad or a screen at a kid all day, have no routine, and then are *shocked* that bedtime is always a fight. 🙄

@White_Amercan Dance party, then bath and sing prayers. They were out. Put in the work. Don't drug. Most kids just need to move their bodies.

@ChristinaPushaw @HazelAppleyard yeah, i find any story that includes the phrase ‘buckle up its a long one’, ‘now onto the story’ or some variation thereof… tends to be fiction. 😬

He told her he stayed with her for 10 years to run out her fertility so she couldn’t have children with anyone. This is possibly the most evil thing you can do to a woman. Incomprehensible.

My Grandparents Were Married For 60 Years. One Day I Asked My Grandfather: “What’s The Secret To Loving The Same Woman For A Lifetime?” He didn’t laugh. He didn’t say “communication.” He didn’t say “date nights.” He looked at my grandmother, who was in the kitchen, and said: “You don’t love the same woman.” That confused me. He said, “She changes every few years. And if you don’t update the way you love her, you lose her.” He told me the girl he married at 22 wasn’t the same woman at 30. Motherhood changed her. Loss changed her. Time changed her. “At 40,” he said, “she needed respect more than romance. At 50, she needed partnership more than passion. At 60, she needed presence more than promises.” And every time she changed, he had a choice: Complain that she’s “not like she used to be.” Or learn her again. He said the biggest mistake men make is this: They fall in love once. Then stop paying attention. “Loving a woman for a lifetime,” he told me, “is deciding to stay curious about her.” Not assuming you know her. Not freezing her in the version you met. He leaned back and said something I’ll never forget: “If you stop studying her, someone else eventually will.” Sixty years. Not because it was easy. Because he kept relearning her.

@nickimoraa Yeah, ‘cause u didn’t take him along on every self-care/date/event u took all the time/effort to plan. He wanted all the praise, benefits, and perks of being with u… while putting in zero effort or adding any value to your life. It’s delulu entitlement.

He said he loved that I was independent. He’d brag about it like it made him look secure. “My girl doesn’t stress me, she handles her own.” He loved that phrase. Until the day I actually handled my own. I remember I had a bad week and instead of crying to him, I booked myself a self-care weekend. Spa, nice food, good music, new nails. When I came back glowing, he wasn’t happy for me. He was weirdly quiet. Then he started picking fights. Random fights. “Why are you always busy?” “Why do you take long to reply?” “You’re acting different.” Different?? Because I stopped begging you for attention? That’s when I realized some men don’t want independent women. They want women who can survive without them but still choose to suffer for them. It’s ego food. He later admitted he felt “left out.” And I almost laughed because… imagine feeling left out of peace you never helped create.

@jeff_byrd @RoguePOTUSStaff They do realize that ‘oh no my husband died under mysterious circumstances’ cases, will rise dramatically should they get rid of no-fault, right? Have a conversation with any senior-citizen grandma and they’ll tell you all about how their husbands passed on…

The unapologetic misogyny on display here is astounding. They're a half step away from saying women shouldn't be able to vote. What's worse is that blaming the nation's problems on female happiness is met with such roaring approval.

@junker_jo Reasons why i’m low-key traumatised thinking back on my middle school (11-14yr olds), years and how many of them were teen moms and had ‘older/mature’ boyfriends. 😬

Did anyone else go through the thing where in middle school there were kids that seemed way more worldly and knowledgeable about sex stuff than you and you thought it was because you were terminally uncool but looking back as an adult they were just obviously getting molested

Things that mobile ads shouldn’t be allowed to do: - Drag you to the App Store - Put fake ‘X’s in the corner to bait you into tapping the ad - Go longer longer than 10 seconds without an option to skip - Force you to trial the game even after you’ve skipped the ad

This is also why many males lack “Emotional intelligence” Imagination is how empathy is trained. Reading fiction builds emotional intelligence; it forces you to inhabit other minds, emotions, and realities. Many men are emotionally underdeveloped not because they can’t feel, but because they were never encouraged to imagine, reflect, or emotionally rehearse. You can’t empathize with lives you never practice entering.

Telling someone to “move on” “just let it go” “don’t dwell on it” isn’t supportive. It’s invalidating. Healing doesn’t come from ignoring pain it comes from feeling safe enough to fucking face it.

@hollowearthterf Not only that, its doing something to celebrate life, the passage of time, and to break up the monotony! If you don’t do anything to celebrate *anything*, how do you remember good times? Bad ones? How do you exist in a moment when its all the same, day after day after day?
