Married men who refuse to get a vasectomy after agreeing with their spouses that they’re done having children are selfish. Women go through enough with birth control, pregnancy and childbirth. The least a man can do when that door is closed is get a vasectomy.

Until the day I actually handled my own. I remember I had a bad week and instead of crying to him, I booked myself a self-care weekend. Spa, nice food, good music, new nails. Random fights. “Why are you always busy?” “Why do you take long to reply?” “You’re acting different.” Different?? Because I stopped begging you for attention? This is also why many males lack “Emotional intelligence” Imagination is how empathy is trained. Reading fiction builds emotional intelligence; it forces you to inhabit other minds, emotions, and realities. Many men are emotionally underdeveloped not because they can’t feel, but because they were never encouraged to imagine, reflect, or emotionally rehearse. You can’t empathize with lives you never practice entering.

Telling someone to “move on” “just let it go” “don’t dwell on it” isn’t supportive. It’s invalidating. Healing doesn’t come from ignoring pain it comes from feeling safe enough to fucking face it.
