@amazinggamepro It's ironic that the anti AI crowd also tends to fall in line with a lot of the other extremely vitriolic groups. Half the time they also call traditional art "slop" too, causing random artists to have hate campaigns against them completely by mistake. But they ARE the good guys

Agreed. It's enabling a group of people to create, who may not have been able to before. We didn't have social media at the time, but I don't recall much outrage when traditional artists who couldn't adapt to digital were phased out to a real degree. I personally couldn't adapt to it, but I never lashed out and hated anyone tinkering with new tech. There will always be a market for traditional art. They may have to hone their craft and step their game up, and certainly I imagine a lot of advertising jobs and such do face real danger of being replaced. But this box is very much open and it's not closing. As an artist, you are only doing yourself harm by not trying to learn and adapt. That's how survival works. On a side note, I can't help but notice a trend of the majority of anti AI folks who leave nasty comments, usually have a timeline full of mid level fetish art. I keep trying to ignore the pattern, but i can't unsee it anymore.

@fradeting @party_animals They do it to the point were it's almost background noise. If anything, the behavior hurts their own cause. The inability to be civil isn't something they should be so openly proud of :/ but there doesn't seem to be an off ramp for them to exit their echo chambers anymore.

Twitter is a place were you have apparent professionals in their fields acting like literal children in the hopes their hive mind tribe will like them. Folks just gave up having class, and forfeit discussion to make a snarky remark for likes instead.

@ink_shotz @paralysedbeaver @party_animals Yes the joke very specifically is about the one vote, which is why that was left in on purpose. But now with 2000 votes only 9% are asking to keep it AI, with 92% of votes opposing AI. They may not speak for you, but you're in the SIGNIFICANT minority.

We’re also sorry that we didn’t communicate with everyone clearly enough before the event started. Our original goal was to lower the barrier to creation. In past contests, we saw players with great ideas and scripts who couldn’t fully bring them to life because they weren’t familiar with tools like editing, modeling, or animation software. We hoped AI could be a more accessible tool that lets more people take part. That said, we understand the concerns around AI content. We are not trying to dismiss handmade work or disrespect creators. To us, AI is just another tool. What we truly care about is the idea, the expression, and the final work. We’d like to leave the next step up to the community. Please vote on what we should do: 1. Cancel the AI video contest 2. Change it into a non-AI creation contest 3. Keep the AI category and add a separate handmade category If you have another suggestion outside of these three options, please feel free to share it as well. Thank you.

@Pirat_Nation The dev team has been extremely good to it's player base since launch. I don't see why you felt the need to try to stir up people with what you "think", like you did. This is why the other side is just as terrible as the "woke" side when it comes to gaming.
