@YoungbloodJoe @sama Why would the send people off platform? It is against their interest to do so. Google have a social contract for people to optimise their content to surface up their results to search. It is tied to their business model. LLMs don't.

"I don't like pull requests (PRs) any more. A large chunk code change doesn't tell me much about the intent or why it was done. I now prefer prompt requests. Just share the prompt you ran / want to run. If I think it's good, I'll run it myself and merge it." - @steipete wow

i'm confused why no one ever thinks about the psychology behind this stuff when a programmer tells you "my entire job is just prompting" they are just very excited about discovering a novel way of working every tool whether it's neovim or AI or functional programming starts off with a period of overuse because we're all looking for the feeling of finding a secret everyone else is missing out on the novelty also makes you literally work harder (temporarily) because you love experiencing the new setup after time goes by you eventually realize you lied to yourself about how much of an impact it was making and settle into something more balanced anyone not self aware of this dynamic is going through it for the first time
Deedy@deedydas

A few software engineers at some of the best tech cos told me this week "My entire job these days is prompting Cursor or Claude Code with Opus 4.5 to do what I need and sanity checking it." We've crossed some intangible threshold of AI generalizing to "most" software.

@jasondeanlee If you ask it to fact check itself on follow up, it is pretty good at correcting itself but blows through usage

Claude Opus 4.5 is still terrible at math and has super low rate limits even on the max plan. It reminds me of grok, just claims and states results and no matter how you prompt, it won't give a proof. The claims are also wrong, but in subtle ways. I would say GPT 5.1 pro> gemini 3 >> opus 4.5 ~ grok Congrats to gemini team, this release makes yall look ok now.

Time to try opus 4.5 on theory research in aiml

@dejanseo I always thought is that you can do YOY for Quarterly results, as you will need 15 months + bleed for that

GSC data. Why 16 months and not 12,18 or 24? Did we ever find out?

Right now, thousands of spammers are exposing themselves. Their ChatGPT accounts have been suspended. But their scripts are still running. So every blog post, every post on reddit, every reply on X is the same. An error message saying that their account has been deactivated. I guess they do not tell you about catching error messages in vibe coding school. "Error: The OpenAI account associated with this API key has been deactivated. If you are the developer for this OpenAI app, please check your email for more information. If you are seeing this error while using another app or site, please reach out to them for more help."

@gaganghotra_ @darth_na You can always just DM me my thoughts @gaganghotra_ lol So,demoted sites are rarely, fully deindexed. They could always have manual action lifted and bounce back. Still in the index but filtered out on most queries (even brand) But could show in PAAs, Image, Discover etc

@darth_na how does Google actually apply the site wide manual action? - get rid of site from the index Or - not serving it when loading the search results -- Where exactly is manual action in the process of serving results??

Anyone have experience with how quickly Google indexes JS? I’ve read a lot of conflicting data. I’m looking to create a system that automatically injects (and manages) links into the content of basic HTML sites. Doing this in PHP would be too annoying, so, I want to automate the process using JS. But my question is regarding the amount of time (if any) that Google waits between rendering HTML and JS nowadays. Also, how common it is to have links rendered in JS but not HTML? That’s the question. Lmk if you’ve tested this, greatly appreciated!

@tehseowner For your use case though, way better way would be to use HTMLRewriter with Cloudflare Workers to do this. JS, ServerSide and you can manage with KV or D1 db

@tehseowner Inline JS is more likely to be rendered than one that requires a dependancy (I.e JS file). Ones that require a dependancy can do ok if file isn't competing with others and can executes in like 200ms-350ms or so. Every else is all probability dist. and how often page is crawled
