Read my newest story—the 10th in 10 months—accepted and scheduled for publication. This tale, which I titled “PRIME MOVER,” also happens to be true. Mine’s the story of a skateboarder who passed me by. The setting is a Southern California sidewalk during lockdown when citizens were discouraged from—including being prohibited from—socializing. “Prime Mover” publishes in the fall edition (previewed herewith) of Phillipe Chatelain’s In Parentheses (@inparenth) on Monday.

Today, you can read my first short story to appear in a magazine—In Parentheses literary magazine (@inparenth)—in digital or print edition. The 493-word “Escape from Indigena” unfolds in real time as an adult traveling with child on a passenger train observes a field slave who steps in front of the train… Subscribe to my prodcast to listen to me read this story (coming soon): …rtstoriesbyscottholleran.substack.com/subscribe
