I have watched Israel decapitate children, burn people alive, rape people to death, maul a disabled man to death with dogs, bomb schools, starve an entire population, and shoot children in the head, but somehow I'm supposed to believe that Ben-Gvir's actions "aren't the spirit of Israel."

Being a Zionist is a binary option. You either are or are not. You either believe Jews can be sovereign in our ancestral homeland or you think we should wander the earth, stateless, forever or until we are all slaughtered. There is no middle ground.

Why is no other country’s existence questioned like this? Not Pakistan, carved out of partition with its own waves of violence; not Jordan or Saudi Arabia, built on conquest and tribal lines; not the countless nations shaped by war, colonialism, or revolution whose borders we accept without a second thought. It feels like a cruel double standard, a selective rage that leaves me questioning humanity’s capacity for fairness, and wondering how a people who have endured so much must now defend their mere right to exist amid such relentless, singular fury. Thank you for our brave allies. The rest of you are just 1930s Berliners. History will not be kind to you.

You insist that you aren't allowed to criticize Israel without being called antisemitic. Right now, Israelis are tearing into Ben Gvir. No one's calling us antisemites. But when you criticize Israel, you deny it should exist. When we do, we demand it be better. Get it?
