@HAHayatu Unfortunately Atiku doesn't have any governors this time around to provide structure, and from history he has never gotten up to 3 million votes on his own popularity and strength. This time around even Adamawa he won't win

NDC, this is bad. Really bad. How can you call yourself a people’s party when the people cannot even afford to run for office under your platform? ₦2.5 million for State House of Assembly. ₦6 million for House of Representatives. ₦8 million for Senate. ₦30 million for Governorship. ₦60 million for Presidency. This is not democracy at all, democracy is supposed to be a government by the people for the people but this one is just for the elites. This is nothing but a way to stop ordinary Nigerians from ever running for office. Because tell me, how many ordinary citizens can afford this without being sponsored by some godfather who will later want to control them? A Nigerian minimum wage worker earns ₦70,000 per month. That means the cheapest form here, State House of Assembly, is almost three years of salary if that person saves every naira and spends nothing on food, rent, transport, bills, family, or survival. For House of Reps, it is over seven years of minimum wage salary. For Senate, over nine years. For Governorship, over thirty-five years. For Presidency, over seventy-one years. What exactly are ordinary Nigerians supposed to do with this kind of system? Even in the UK, where the standard of living is far better than Nigeria’s, standing for Parliament requires a £500 deposit, and that deposit is refundable if the candidate gets at least 5% of the votes. Refundable is the key word. A UK minimum wage worker doing only 20 hours a week can earn more than that in a month. But in Nigeria, a full-time minimum wage worker cannot even afford the cheapest political form after one full year of work. So we need to ask the honest question: Why does it cost more for an ordinary Nigerian to attempt State House of Assembly than it costs someone in the UK to begin the process of contesting for Parliament? The US is different too because ballot access rules vary by state, but their major problem is campaign funding, not political parties charging people tens of millions just to buy internal party forms. This is exactly why Nigerian politics keeps recycling the same rich men, godfathers, political merchants, and sponsored candidates. You price out the ordinary citizens first, then you pretend to be shocked that the same corrupt class keeps returning to power. NDC, if you are truly a people’s party, then stop pricing the people out of politics like the other political parties are doing.

Nyesom Wike is afraid of going into primaries with Gov. Sim Fubara and his men. If you say you have the powers and want to humble us. Why are you afraid of primaries? Remove this manuever and backyard visit to the the cancer APC national chairman. Sim Fubara is more popular than Wike in Rivers State. Its very obvious!

Guess who is now buying fuel N1400, enduring abysmal power supply, scared of kidnappers and queuing up for rice etc? If you like let them whine again this election period. @Bless_Eyo @ani_danielson @grok if a dollar was NGN130 in 2004, and Frank earned NGN160000 then, what is the equivalent in today's currency if a dollar today is NGN1380

Just so you know, ₦160,000 was more than $1,000 when he started the show in 2004, and the minimum wage at the time was ₦7,500. ₦160k in 2004 was not a small salary at all, over 20 times the minimum wage. So Frank wasn’t actually earning a small amount back then. He was doing very well. If he were to host such shows again, he wouldn’t get anything less than the $1k USD equivalent he earned then. In today’s Nigeria, $1,000 per month puts you comfortably in the top 5% of earners.

A dignified response. I met him only once and was impressed that he did not come across as slimy; you know, the way other politicians look at women with ravenous appetites. He was calm and composed; respectful and without airs. His companion, Buba Galadima, was sharp. The APC spends millions on foreign lobbyists in the US, painted this man as a terrorist to deflect from themselves and foolish Nigerian worshippers of white men believed in the tales because in their narrow minds all Muslims from Kano are the same. I hope he continues to survive the two-faced behaviour of his countrymen because it was bad enough that his successors were Machiavellian in order to have access to more money. None of the leading members of the opposition will get votes in only one state. Atiku can mobilise the establishment elites, the upper middle class civil servants and those who remain firm on liberal economics (which is what Tinubu is already practicising), El Rufai can mobilise professionals and technocrats as well as rally around him the support of the younger guard who he supported and are now in strategic positions, Kwankwaso and Obi can mobilise youth, high energy activists, the working class, traders and those in diaspora. Kwankwaso is one of the best grassroots mobilisers in the country and is an asset to have on the team. If the coalition really means well for the country, they must align on a strategy of genuine service and think inclusively, not just about who holds the keys to the Northern political establishment. What has the Northern political establishment done for the people all these years? Or is that thinking an admission that there are no free and fair elections? When will it be "the turn" of the non-establishment people across the entire breadth and depth of the country?
Mr. Papito🤵@1danfulcreation

Arise TV interview: Charles: Few days ago, Atiku was sitting where you're now and he said that your votes only come from Kano state, that you don't command much votes in other parts of the north, that also Kano votes will split because of APC governor. Kwankwaso: Well, for me I wish Atiku and ADC the best, let's see the result after the election and know if the votes will split. Pepper don enter my eyes😂😂

Rufai Oseni who is actually half baked counts military rule as part of democratic rotational govt. And I challenge @ruffydfire to tell me how Awolowo is more competent than Shagari in 1979, is Awolowo that caused crises in the first republic with his cases with Ladoke Akintola that eventually crashed the democracy ?

@daemperor007 @insight_noir @winexviv Boss I graduated from Funaab, Mechanical Engineering. Maintenance Engineering is in 500 level taught by the amazing Prof. Mrs Kuye. It's not a course to teach you how to carry spanners or screwdrivers. Worked in Dangote and NNPC..I can tell you an Engr isn't for those things.

The Mechanical Engineering final year students of IMO State University were hosting a graduation party. At some point the generator developed fault. None of the students had a clue on how to fix it. They all had to start searching for an artisan to fix it. They eventually found someone that came and fixed it. The quality of the graduates in most of our state universities and in some federal universities are unemployable. A university where students have to sort their way out without learning anything meaningful. I call many of them, illiterate graduates.
