Why I'm not a DRep anymore, by Johnny Kelly: Once I was asked to critically read and critique ~195 Proposals, Submitted Ad-Hoc, and try to make a *truly informed* Yes/No decision on whether or not they should receive funding. Even in working areas in which I have absolutely no formal experience. I Retired as a DRep. It felt like the only honest option for me. Anything else would have felt like misrepresenting my level of expertise/understanding in certain aspects of the Ecosystem (e.g. Marketing) or not being honest about how much time I'd *really* spent reading over *every* Proposal's content. I would have been fine with having a say in what the overall list of *Work Items* to be *fulfilled* were, with that fulfilment then being worked out via specialised Groups collaborating alongside any ADA Community Member who wanted to contribute their experience and understanding towards Awarding final Funding Allocations. I *wasn't* fine with having to weigh in on Full Allocation of Funding to Vendors across multiple aspects of Ecosystem Development and Support all in one go (in 12 days), without being able to have a say in the actual *Work Items* to be fulfilled in the first place (yes there was the Roadmap Vote, but it was superceded by what actually happened next). We were going to have a formalised and structured Budget to be systematically worked at one point. It got replaced with a free-for-all ad-hoc submissions process. Once that happened, I was out.

Day 1 update of incentives voting. CIP-50 is currently passing by a good margin and with the parameter result skewing toward "Less than 500" If this result ultimately passes then it will require 150k ADA in pledge for a Cardano stake pool to prevent becoming oversaturated. ..

🚨 Your Android phone can be hacked without you clicking anything. Google just disclosed CVE-2026-0073 - a critical vulnerability affecting millions of devices. No app install. No phishing link. No interaction. Just proximity to a compromised device or shared network. Once in, attackers may potentially: → read clipboard → capture screenshots → inject fake overlays → monitor sessions Your legitimate wallet app becomes a surveillance device. → Seed phrases are captured when viewed. → Clipboard hijacked mid-transaction. → Fake prompts that look identical to real ones. The wallet app is fine, but the OS beneath it is not. If the OS is compromised, the wallet inherits the compromise. Immediate actions: → Update Android now (patch: May 1, 2026+) → Install Google Play system updates → Avoid public networks until patched → Move significant holdings off mobile Mobile phones are not vaults. They're internet-connected attack surfaces with access to everything you type, see, and sign. Hardware wallets isolate keys from the OS - air-gapped, offline, unreachable even if your phone is hacked. With Keystone, signing happens offline. Details are displayed on-device. QR-only keeps the hackers at bay. Your phone can be hacked. Your keys cannot.

🛡️ Critical Android Zero-Click Vulnerability Grants Remote Shell Access Source: cybersecuritynews.com/android-zero-c… Google has published the May 2026 Android Security Bulletin, alerting the ecosystem to a highly severe remote code execution (RCE) flaw. Tracked as CVE-2026-0073, this critical vulnerability resides deep within the core Android System component. It allows an attacker to gain remote shell access without requiring a single tap, download, or click from the device owner. Threat actors can launch this zero-click attack proximally, meaning they only need to be on the same local network or in physical proximity to exploit a vulnerable mobile device. #cybersecuritynews #Android

This wasn’t a rug, it was a function of how Twitter works when a cohost has someone blocked. For those who don’t know, myself, Navit, and many others listening to the IO proposal space yesterday hosted by Matthew were removed from the space the moment Matthew made @IOHK_Charles a cohost. I know Matthew and the team meant no harm, but I would like to see maybe not give the guy with more people blocked than anyone else the cohost spot if it will prevent other significant DReps and community members from participating as a result. I just feel it’s important to clarify that the removing from a space is automatic and a function of Twitter when the space you’re in has a cohost with listeners or speakers blocked. I hope this helps
Matthew Capps@cryptstitution

Ran into a problem cycling a couple of guests up at the space yesterday, who I didn’t recognize, were blocked by existing speakers, or just rugged by X. To solve this going forward we could have queued requesters comment under the space as an on-ramp. Will try tomorrow.

Mum's Ambulance Transfer to and from her Fracture Clinic Appointment for a follow up X-ray on her Proximal Humerus Fracture today was cancelled. So I'm having to try and get her to and from the Appointment in my car. Last time this was a disaster to try and achieve, but last time she was only a week out of Hospital and hadn't yet been able to go down the stairs using her new stairlift to sit in the living room successfully yet. Since then she's been regularly going down the stairs and sitting out in the living room for up to 7 hours at a time (usually 6). She's had Occupational Therapists come and supervise trying to get her into the car 3 times. She succeeded 2 of those times. She's been semi-regularly doing Physio Exercises for both her arthritic legs/knees AND her broken arm. And I've bought her a *properly proportioned* Transit Wheelchair to use once she gets out of the car to go into the Hospital. Last time the wheelchair we borrowed from the British Red Cross was far too deep and she ended up sitting at a 45° angle with no back support for multiple hours😢 So, here's hoping today's attempt to use the car to get to and from the Appointment goes much better than previously 🤞🙏

Update: All Transfers to and from the car for the Appoinment went well. Ex-Display Model, purchased Wheelchair worked well. This time was *nowhere near* as stressful an experience as last time, and Mum even got some ice cream from Mauds on the way home. There were a couple of issues around getting Mum into a proper seating position in the car, but she was able to GET into the car. I'd call it a win with a few needed adjustments to still figure out.

Cardano Node 10.7.1 is mainnet ready! This is expected to be the last version before 11.0. 11.0 is expected to have no user facing changes, so we recommend everyone updating to this release in preparation for 11.0 hard fork! github.com/IntersectMBO/c…

Time for everyone to take a Twitter break! The fundamentals of Cardano haven't changed, it's still the best blockchain that gets us closest to solving the trilemma through a fixed supply, decentralized, censorship resistant public infrastructure. You don't need to like me, or anyone else, or ask someone's permission to build here and use the network. So get back to building and using the chain and focus on the positives and the change you want to see and be in the world (that blockchain can actually fix). Onboard.Ninja (@OnboardNinja) is in public beta to try and increase access and ease of adoption to new users "on the go". Ekklesia test votes running in Hydra heads on preprod as we speak and undergoing QA testing. Plans for CIPs to address wallet fragmentation, minUTxO reduction, and more in the pipeline. We are Cardano, and we're done asking, let's change the world.

IDK? While I was on the OSC we asked for our budget to be transferred to cash/stable value via the OTC desk... It didn't happen, price tanked, and the OSC was forced to cut programs in order to stay within budget given the new reality. It's at least part of the problem why I'm skeptical of this "magical" OTC desk that exists somewhere and can solve all of our problem and means we don't need to worry about any of these silly conversion rates or liquidity
