Hardware wallets are, for the most part, one of the biggest psyops of this entire industry, and widely recognized as bad opsec by security researchers. The mailing and order lists for hardware wallets are some of the most repeatedly hacked and leaked datasets, appearing on blackhat forms year after year. Mailing addresses, names, emails, all of which are perfectly filtered for known value targets. A $300 laptop with no internet hardware is significantly less likely to get you wrench attacked, or get your root keys rugged by an HW wallet backdoor. Also, for the vast majority of users, a hardware wallet won’t save you if your web-wallet is compromised. You would have to review the entire transaction on the 1 by 1 inch hw wallet screen, where most people look at the wallet summary. You’d have to double check every script hash, every destination address of every transaction you sign. In-practice, the number of people who do this approaches zero.

Which wallets are you guys using on Cardano right now? I'm stuck with Lace because I used Nami before and Vespr on mobile. I need a better one for desktop, please advise.

Met with the @alphagrowth1 team yesterday and was highly impressed by their knowledge of DeFi and ability to communicate their goals on Cardano. They are the real deal imo, and can help push Cardano to places it has not yet been in terms of DeFi. I still want to do a thorough read through the proposal but I am a YES vote unless I see something that truly is out of line. Make sure to give them a real chance here. This may be the huge Catalyst we need to push Cardano back into the top 5. They are also heavily in favor of pushing RWA markets which directly aligns with our Ticketing proposal with Sellout, and other products we are working on. Not a paid endorsement. Prescribed to me today (below). Blood test came back with extremely high blood sugar results in the past 3 months' levels assessment (via the HbA1c (A1C) Test). 3 times above target. No Prostate issues, though (which I was originally going in to get checked following having more frequent urination, especially at night). Also, blood pressure is normal (117/74) and cholesterol levels are normal. So yeah, Type 2 Diabetes Diagnosis 'only'. Huzzah 🎉 Time to install MyFitnessPal, I guess.

@JaromirTesar There needs to be a ranking for Dreps based on how activity and trustworthiness. Iagon has statur for this purpose. If the 1st 20 Dreps gets $50k a year, that is only $1M a year - way lower than the amount of money we are wasting thus far. We can even afford the first 50 Dreps.

To some extent, this is my feeling. On the other hand, how else to compensate DReps for their time invested in governance? In the Intersect budget process, DReps could provide feedback before the vote. Perhaps not even a dozen DReps used this opportunity. Even well-paid "institutional" EMUROG and CF DReps did not provide feedback. This is a problem because the time invested in governance can have a positive impact on the outcome of the vote.

Should proposers pay DReps for their time, say $1000, to provide feedback before submission? Adalobby offers this service. DRep DAO is considering offering the same service either for free or funded by the Treasury. Which approach is better? adalobby.com

So, one more time. The rules for this Discord server are determined by the community through a vote on the code of conduct and an agreement on how we’ll communicate. Moderators will adhere to this code. Alternatively, moderators will be elected by the community. This is a neutral space where there’s room for discussion on the topic. It’s not for drama, resentment, or disrespect. Normal, empathetic discussions that respect other opinions. Don’t like the solution? Come up with another one. But just saying it’s wrong doesn’t benefit the community or Cardano. Why couldn’t Charles be Drep? He owns an estimated 1 billion ADA. For two years, he stayed on the sidelines and let the community decide. But where has that led? It’s one big mess with no plan. If someone isn’t sitting down and discussing proposals from the treasury with the community, they don’t have access to the treasury. That’s probably logical. It’s the same when you go to ask a VC for money. You have to convince them to give it to you.

ADA holders, wake up. This Discord “governance” push isn’t about better collaboration. It’s Hoskinson building a de facto corporate board with real teeth: a dominant DRep bloc that auto-votes NO on funding and proposals from anyone who doesn’t play in their moderated, Chatham House rules playground. They’ll set the agenda, control the “expert circles,” enforce the code of conduct, and decide who gets heard. On-chain votes by holders? Nice in theory — but when the largest voting bloc systematically blocks outsiders, they effectively overrule the community. This isn’t decentralization. It’s centralization with extra steps. A founder-led structure dressed up as “pragmatic leadership.” Your ADA, your delegation, your choice. Don’t hand over real power to an insider club that can starve proposals they don’t like. Demand open, permissionless governance instead of a private boardroom. #Cardano

I am genuinely excited about Cardano’s future. The community is strong, engaged, and increasingly clear on what it expects from the blockchain. ADA holders are pushing for progress, accountability, and better use of shared resources. I have not seen another blockchain operate quite like this. It is inspiring, but it is also reassuring. There are people here who genuinely care about Cardano’s long term future, not just short term narratives. Growth is possible if this is managed properly. Difficult questions will keep being asked. Accountability will need to improve. Spending will need to be justified by real value. Builders will need the right environment to deliver. But if ADA holders remain in control, Cardano has something very powerful. A blockchain shaped by the people who own it, use it, secure it, and care about where it goes next.
