Normal and cancerous at the same time. And that's exactly where they hit the switch. In colon cancer trials, they targeted three master genes — MYB, HDAC2, and FOXA2 — and the cancer cells didn't die. They went back to being healthy intestinal cells. Like nothing ever happened. The team built a digital twin of the gene network to map every move a cell makes on its way to becoming cancerous. Then they reverse-engineered the path home. No hay excusa para que un sistema de emergencias 911 funcione mal en un país que mueve millones en contratos, privilegios y beneficios políticos. Lo más grave no es la falla técnica. Lo más grave es el mensaje que eso le manda al panameño: que su vida vale menos que los intereses de la clase política. Hoy en Panamá ni siquiera tenemos la tranquilidad de pensar que, en una urgencia de vida o muerte, alguien va a contestar y ayudar a tiempo. Se ha perdido hasta la esperanza de ser atendidos cuando más vulnerables estamos. Un gobierno serio pone primero lo básico: seguridad, salud y respuesta inmediata a emergencias, un país donde el ciudadano no puede confiar en el 911 es un país donde el Estado le falló a su gente. Y si este gobierno no entiende la prioridad de esto, entonces cuéntenlo desde ya como un compromiso: en mi gobierno, el sistema 911 de Panamá será eficiente, moderno y digno de la vida humana que debe proteger.
