@kareemformayor This is not something you should be politicizing. And the evidence doesn’t support this. Kids don’t need more cops in schools. They need more teachers, better resources, councillors, EAs etc.

Orr’s plan for homeowners is unacceptable...Impose massive property tax increases, then offer a rebate that supposedly cancels them out for the few who qualify. Property taxes increased 7% in 2020 and 10.7% in 2023. No more excessive property tax increases. Enough is enough.

@LedgerLomasM @seanorr My concern: The Greens and Cope are making a political calculation. They are looking to protect the interests of one group of Millionaires over another group of millionaires. This is more political expediant than doing what is necesarry to make rents cheap for everyone.

I agree. The Canucks proposal needs to be more ambitious. 1️⃣ It needs a brand-new ice sheet that doesn’t take time away from minor hockey. Adding a new ice sheet is a win for everyone. 2️⃣ Any decision between business and council regarding public lands should not be made behind closed doors. This decision should be made publicly.

@kareemformayor 100 percent Kareem. The economic benefit of being able to hold youth tournaments, no current facility in van can, will be significant. Hotels booking will go up along with other tourism related revenues all while showcasing one of the city’s greatest neighborhoods.
