Then there’s Trump, the dealmaker extraordinaire, puffing his chest about how he’d have ended the war in 24 hours—probably by gift-wrapping Kyiv for Putin with a big red bow and a thank-you note. “Putin respects me,” he brags, which is code for “I’d let him steamroll Eastern Europe because I’m too busy grifting tax cuts for my Mar-a-Lago buddies.” Blank checks? Accountability? This from the guy who thinks oversight is when someone watches him spray-tan. Zelenskyy’s over here dropping truth bombs—Russia’s kidnapping kids, flattening cities, and these two are haggling like it’s a used car lot. “Be thankful,” Trump sneers, as if Ukraine should kiss the ring for crumbs while he’s out here pretending he’s the second coming of Churchill. And Vance, with his “it’s costing Americans billions” sob story—buddy, wait till Putin’s at NATO’s doorstep and you’re crying over the bill then. “America First,” they chant, while handing Putin the keys to the free world on a gold-plated platter.
