The reason the Beta engages in covert, transactional activities is to secure his position in the tribe. Every nice action and offering is a beg to not be excluded. When rejected, the Beta experience says "but I paid for this, why was my action not appreciated?" The core assumption in Beta is that his SELF is not enough. This is how every service and niceness and contract is never enough, taken for granted, and ultimately abused and rejected. People may take the offering out of necessity and then get rid of the Beta at the first opportunity presented. "But I paid for stuff!" Yes you did, that's the problem. You turned your life into prostitution. You bought an exchange - by sacrificing the self of who you said you loved. Beta doesn't see it because it itself is disconnected. It already betrayed itself. When the call is made "real men show up, we need leaders, who's the boss" Beta says "not me, you go first, I will watch, do the thing, I will copy you". This is shame. From that shame, it overcompensates to have value. Ditch Beta.

"Their own agenda to nest" If the woman is attracted she will want to nest. This means converting your space into a safe bubble for her and the future kids. The above is about strategy, traits and how tos, which is different than objectives. A good, compatible woman will be aligned with you, your goals, your potential. A funny paradox about the path is that one cannot cultivate the lack of self-cherishing for hope of personal gain. If you are doing it for any sort of hope that you'll benefit from it, you're not actually renouncing self-cherishing, and it won't work. Likewise with giving alms. If someone is paying for teachings (or engaging in transaction at all), they're giving money only for the selfish desire to gain something, and thus will actually get nothing. It is only the person who gives for its own sake and expects to get nothing in return (especially if they expect to get personal loss/suffering in return), that actually receives the cultivation of generosity and the loss of self cherishing
