Jeff Bezos reveals the moment an early Amazon executive told him he had enough ideas to destroy Amazon: "Early in Amazon's history, Jeff Wilke came to me one day and said, Jeff, you have enough ideas to destroy Amazon. You have enough ideas per minute, per day, per week to destroy Amazon." "I was like, what do you mean?" "He said, you have to release the work at the right rate that the organization can accept it." "Every time I released an idea, I was creating a backlog, a queue, work in process. It was just stacking up, it was adding no value. In fact, it was creating distraction." "So I started prioritizing the ideas better, keeping lists of them, keeping them to myself until the organization was ready for the ideas."

Today we’re announcing $1 billion in new funds to back the bold founders shaping the next era of finance and technology. I’ve been following the flow of assets my entire career and have never seen a more dynamic time. Financial infrastructure is being rebuilt from the ground up, new assets and markets are emerging, and an agentic economy is developing as AI agents begin to transact on behalf of humans. These areas, among others, are what will define the coming years as we deploy these new funds. We’re excited for what’s ahead, and wrote about our thesis in the post below.

Under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum , we are launching today a new initiative to transform towards Agentic AI (self-executing and self-leading artificial intelligence) in Dubai’s private sector. Our goal is for Dubai to become the world’s leading city in adopting these technologies economically and commercially — giving us a new competitive edge for the future. The transformation program spans two years and includes specialized training tracks for all business councils affiliated with the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry. We have also directed the Chamber to establish incubators for Agentic AI companies to support this transformation, create new economic opportunities for young people in this field, and set up dedicated funds to back this new shift. Our objective is to empower our companies to adopt these technologies that will boost productivity, expand business volumes, and reshape the city — making its economy the best in the world in adopting Agentic AI technologies. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid is today leading a comprehensive movement to reshape Dubai into the world’s most future-ready city — technologically, economically, in infrastructure, and with facilities that elevate quality of life to standards no one has reached before.

Everyone is reading the Anthropic–Blackstone $1.5B and OpenAI $10B JVs as bad news for Indian IT. It could be the opposite. IT services chased the IT budget — 2–4% of corporate spend. AI services are chasing the labor budget. 10x larger. Demand just got proven. So did the competition to capture it. Blackstone, Goldman, TPG, Brookfield, and Bain don't write large cheques into imaginary profit pools. The AI services cake is real. Much bigger than the cloud. Multi-decadal. The real debate is who eats the slices...

AI isn't just software. It's a five-layer cake: energy, chips, infrastructure, models, and applications. The countries and companies that build the full stack will define the next industrial era. New whitepaper from @TheFuturumGroup breaks it down: futurumgroup.com/research-repor…
The Futurum Group@TheFuturumGroup

AI investment is expanding beyond models and applications into the full stack that supports them. Energy capacity, semiconductor supply, compute infrastructure, and software layers are becoming more connected, influencing how and where AI can be built and deployed. In partnership with @nvidia, @TheFuturumGroup examines the Five Layers of the AI Cake framework as a way to understand the structure of the AI economy. The market brief outlines how value is distributed across the stack, where bottlenecks are forming, and what these dynamics mean for enterprise strategy, capital allocation, workforce planning, and global competitiveness. ⏯️ Explore the key findings, and use the link to download the full report: 👉 buff.ly/LTszJWc #AIInfrastructure #NVIDIA #Futurum

Stuart Russell, a computer scientist at UC Berkeley, takes the stand to testify, direct-examine by Elon Musk's lawyer Steven Molo. He says that the current AI race has a "winner take all" dynamic, in which "whichever company develops AGI first (AI that matches or exceeds human capabilities in every area) will have a significant advantage." Because AGI could take over most human work, the companies that create it will "quickly come to control perhaps the majority of economic activity on the planet." Even governments could "become subordinate to these companies."

Second-time founders be like… > GTM > PMF > Go fully remote > Profitability is king > Must have a Big TAM > Outsource non-core tasks > Have great advisors/investors > Prioritize customer conversations > Focused on retention over growth > Hire fewer, more experienced people > Document everything on Notion/Slack > Thinking in decades and acting in days None of this stuff came from a book. It came from living through the first company. The price of admission was worth it.

the reason enterprise agents aren't working isn't that the models are bad. it's that errors compound. one task at 90% accuracy is fine. three tasks chained together and you're at 73%. five and you're below 60%. that's not a model problem. that's an architecture problem. the companies that figure out how to break long-horizon work into evaluable steps and catch failures before they compound are the ones that actually automate real processes. everyone else is stuck automating small tasks and calling it AI transformation.

"Accelerating RL Post-Training Rollouts via System-Integrated Speculative Decoding" Speculative decoding for RL rollouts! This paper speeds up post-training without changing the target policy’s sampling distribution. So a draft model proposes multiple tokens, and the policy model verifies them. An important system piece is that the draft must stay aligned with the continually updated policy, with weight sync and optional online adaptation. This gives faster rollouts, but same learning trajectory. With ~1.5-1.8x rollout speedup at 8B, and projected ~2.5x end-to-end speedup at 235B scale.

Exploration of our minerals and hydrocarbons below-the-ground is a priority. The world knows how India created a jan andolan in our agriculture. Even as our population grew, we were able to achieve self-sufficiency in food. I salute our farmers. The Green Revolution happened because all of India joined together. The time has come to create a revolution for below-the-ground so that we can be free from imports. This is an area of such huge potential that I estimate that 30%-40% of our population, especially young people, should find it very attractive to develop their careers and create livelihoods. India has one of the best geologies in the world. Of course,as we did for our agriculture in the start, the government will have to be very flexible except on matters related to the environment. There can no compromise on that. Exploration should become a buzzword and attract all kinds of individuals, startups, small companies, large companies – bring everyone together in this national mission. We have to be disruptive in below-the-ground. We have to show to the world. We should let go of old mindsets such as fixed term leases for mines (50 years at present). Like elsewhere in the world, it should be for life of mine. We should think beyond auctions. Let’s not be bound by any one process. The most important thing is the outcome – massively increased production. All of this has been implemented successfully elsewhere in the world. We have a very advantageous position. Because of today’s advanced technology, our young population, our entrepreneurs and our positive government, we will be fastest to develop below-the-ground potential. At present, 50% of our imports are on account of below-the-ground resources. This is our hard-earned money which is going to create jobs in other countries. Let us use it for our own development. A revolution below-the-ground will completely transform our country. Let’s come together in mission mode.

The ‘Liberal’ meltdown over Bengal is particularly satisfying. Their principles end at Bengal’s borders. Corruption, state power, sexual violence matter everywhere else. In Bengal it becomes “culture”. And those fake feminist netas can’t hide. My piece: ndtv.com/opinion/what-t…

Nytimes: The White House is considering a government review process for major AI models before public release. The proposed review would not necessarily block releases, but it could give the U.S. government early access to test advanced models before the public gets them. The likely focus is cyber-capability, meaning whether a model can help discover, exploit, or chain software vulnerabilities at a level that changes real-world security risk. This is a major policy reversal because the same administration had rolled back Biden-era reporting rules for powerful AI systems and argued that heavy regulation could slow U.S. progress against China. The trigger was Anthropic’s Mythos model, which the company says is unusually strong at finding software security flaws and too risky to release widely. A model like this can scan code, identify weak points, and suggest attack paths much faster than a normal human security team. That makes it useful for defense agencies, but it also raises the fear that a public release could help attackers find bugs in banks, government systems, cloud tools, and critical infrastructure. --- nytimes. com/2026/05/04/technology/trump-ai-models.html

Internally at NVIDIA, we use cuOpt based agentic workflows with agent skills to optimize our supply chains. Since it’s open source, you can too. With optimizations ready in minutes instead of weeks, the workflow uses multi-agent LangChain Deep agent orchestration and GPU-accelerated solvers to turn natural language into optimized decisions. Spin it up instantly with a Brev Launchable (preconfigured GPU environment) and grab free developer credits while they last.
