@ceritheviking I’m not a monarchist, but there are more pressing matters to care about in Wales than whether we change to a republic.

@Joe___Allen The writing was on the wall with Yes Cymru when you allowed student politics to get into key roles and created a toxic atmosphere where if your views don’t 100% align with a Welsh Communist Utopia. That’s what led to its downfall. 🤷🏼‍♂️

@Joe___Allen @guyadams I think it’s still too close to tell whether people will go out to vote in greater numbers. I do hope people will go out in numbers, but Wales has always lacked enthusiasm to do so.

Anyone who thinks there is room for a new Chancellor to spend more liberally should take a long hard look at this graph. Britain's borrowing costs are soaring because spending is projected to far outpace revenue from 2030. A few implications: 1. The triple lock will have to go. An ageing population + inflation means we can't afford it. 2. Bond markets will not respond well to a new government (Labour or otherwise) that tries to suddenly boost spending, cut taxes or damage growth. 3. The only long run solution is growth. Even just 1% more per year would make a huge difference to this graph, raising revenue projections substantially, and reducing fiscal liabilities in a few key areas. @scottishgreens Why would any organisation bid for Scottish government contracts with this in place? 🤯

Scottish Greens will introduce a 10:1 pay ratio for any company or organisation receiving significant funding or contracts from the Scottish Government. This would mean bosses can only raise their own salaries by also improving the salaries of their lowest paid staff.

So apparently Stephen Cunnah has moved permanently to N Wales. Not sure how someone can be a Canton councillor from Clywd East. Classic @WelshLabour & their ignorance of running Cardiff

@mr_james_c And yet they cannot understand why people are turning to parties like Reform 🤷🏼‍♂️ when they spout stuff like this!

Unite here displaying a classic piece of union self-interest: they see a massive potential increase in membership and to hell. With the fact they're advocating for what is, in effect, forced occupation.

This is my issue with plaid, is that they are so anti nuclear. Wales needs to invest in nuclear technology to help lower energy costs in the future 🤷🏼‍♂️
Joe Allen@Joe___Allen

Key diff between Reform and Plaid on nuclear. Reform (like Welsh Lab) full in favour; Plaid only in two previous nuclear sites. Plaid's internal coalition unlikely to allow any change & they're campaigning against SMRs in S Wales. So next Welsh Gov likely cooler on nuclear.

@EdwardMorelloWD If you don’t understand why Parliament being at the Palace of Westminster matters, then you’re not doing your duty as a MP with the reverence it deserves.

This is what the south wales metro should have. / should be doing. And the burns stations. And any existing stations. And new station plans should be with this in mind These are open policy goals. They aren’t radical. It’s the model elsewhere. Frustrating!!
YIMBY Alliance@yimbyalliance

1. Homes within walking distance of train stations well-connected to jobs will be allowed so long as they have a minimum density of 50 homes per hectare. This also applies across the green belt! This will have a huge impact:
