PNG joined a regional exchange on Multi‑Hazard Early Warning Systems in Vanuatu, strengthening disaster preparedness with partners across the Pacific, supported by IOM & funded by Japan. The initiative boosts early warning capacity, equipment and community readiness.🌋🌊

PNG's Highlands is taking big steps toward safer, more resilient communities. Recent IOM-led consultations brought together leaders & partners to strengthen Disaster Risk Management, improve early warning systems, and build proactive, community-informed strategies. 🌄✨

PNG is moving from policy to practice under the National Framework for Ward Development. @iompng, DPLGA, and provincial governments strengthened capacity for ward-level development planning in the Highlands, equipping communities to lead inclusive, evidence-based planning.
