Responding to Cyclone Ditwah’s devastating impact, @usairforce & @airforcelk are partnering to move relief supplies quickly and safely to hard-hit areas. Hear directly from the pilots and airmen & other members of our military who are behind this logistics and transport mission — why the work matters, how the teams coordinate, and what it means to serve together in a time of crisis. The @usairforce team flew the C-130J Super Herc today to Mattala International Airport, where they worked with @airforceLK to offload donated goods with some collaborative muscle power. The offloaded goods will now be sent by road into the battered hill-country districts of Badulla, Nuwara Eliya, Monaragala and surrounding regions to reach families who have been cut off due to inaccessible roads and terrain.

In response to the severe impact of Cyclone Ditwah, the United States is providing $2 million in emergency, life-saving assistance for people in need in Sri Lanka.
