Along with the Ambassadors of Asia and Middle East, I had the pleasure to meet with Foreign Minister HEM @RonaldLamola. There was a constructive exchange of views and insights on South Africa’s foreign policy, as well as the Middle East crisis. I am thankful for his sympathy with Lebanon.

@AmukelaniMoyani I’ve changed my mind after seeing the graphic images of your stuffering. May your spirit not rest but put up one last fight from beyond the grave to help put your evil killer behind bars or suffer the same fate. I trust @iqbalau_ @ClaysonMonyela @DIRCO_ZA to ensure justice!

My visit to #Eritrea offered a meaningful moment of reflection on the layers of engagement that shape national progress, from observing developments in strategic towns like #Assab and the historic resilience of Nakfa, to witnessing community realities firsthand. Moving across these spaces underscored how policy, partnership, history, and lived experience intersect in tangible and often humbling ways...Such moments serve as a reminder that progress is not only measured in projects or plans, but in dialogue, perspective, and shared commitment to long-term national vision. My visit concluded with a thoughtful exchange with H.E. President Isaias Afwerki, a conversation that reinforced the importance of continuity, strategic alignment, and sustained engagement on national priorities. Development and governance are best understood not from distance, but through direct engagement with people and institutions shaping the country’s path forward...

@Cambaaburshizi It's good to be back & to focus more closely on Somaliland's existential, survival trajectory of economic & diplomatic development, such as the impressive, recent Serene Sarovar Premiere Hotel development in Hargeisa. Well done to Somalilanders!

@Somaalilanders Good to reconnect! This AU 2005 Report was a collective effort. The 2003 April Report of the SA Foreign Affairs Office of the Chief Law State Advisor (International Law) contributed, as well as ex-President Rayaale's diplomatic engagement with a senior SA official in Hargeisa.

One of the best & exciting reads on #Somaliland & the #AU. 'Somaliland crisis demands that the AU break free from its rigid adherence to postcolonial sovereignty'. The author Dr Kidane is based at the University of Johannesburg. @DrJPPham @TMFoundation_ @imanrappetti @yGabobe
