@bcherny @simulated_land @browser_use @mitchellh I’m using iTerm, must say it’s really good + it got really good API so Claude built a nice integration for me where I manage my instances and group them automatically to projects

Don't let one sick service infect your entire system. Use Circuit Breaker. Thanks to @arpit_bhayani for breaking it down so clearly. I put his concepts into practice and wrote a guide on how to build one from scratch with Node.js and Redis. dub.sh/circuit-breaker Hope it helps

@CaryKelly11 Yes… we can’t all live in Costa Rica and surf 2-3 hours everyday in the sun :) I do not apply that advice to myself either.. as with everything (it seems), you have to learn what you can and then synthesize your own approach that works for your history and context.

@iradel I quit following Paul when got into chugging fruit juice and praising honey, every single podcast. It may work for him, but most are metabolically doomed if they try to follow him down that path.

I love the animal-based community but sometimes the logic of some of the members has a flat tire. Imagine travelling back a few hundred years and telling people that... Chickens are poison but eggs are a superfood. Cows are a superfood but dairy is poison. The worst animal-based food is better than the best ultra-processed food.

How do you Make America Healthy Again if 1 out of 4 people in this country cannot afford the medication that their doctors prescribe? This country will not be healthy until we guarantee health care as a human right to every man, woman and child who lives here.

Agree. Though if you’ve ever tracked your food intake with an app and a scale and all that, for a period of time, just for fun / to get a sense of your typical day / week, you know the nut butters are calorie bombs. I suppose also try to eat it away from other foods (your nutrition meals), as (I believe I got this from Dr Paul Saladino) peanut butter contains phytic acid, which can reduce the bioavailability of minerals in whatever other food you may be digesting. Depending on brand, there may be seed oils in there too.

@ItsJustinRhodes I was never a big fan of peanut butter. Maybe on a few things. But since I’ve gone mostly animal based, peanut butter tastes magical. I can eat it by the spoon and I don’t want to stop. I think this is because my taste buds are sober now.

I have family that’s historically from Europe and, anecdotally, they would always have bread with lots of butter to accompany their drinking. “Wisdom of the ancients” kind of thing? :) Somehow people figured out that adding some fat along with alcohol consumption provides some benefits somehow.

It’s the innovator’s dilemma at country scale. How do companies that were once sprightly / nimble upstarts become so bloated and slow that a startup / smaller company comes in and eats their lunch? I suppose “developing” countries are not weighed down by nearly as much bureaucracy and can just get things done.

Enjoy your Turkeys. But know, if you homestead, Turkeys aren’t just for Thanksgiving. For us, they add a nice variety to our otherwise heavy red meat diet. It’s no harder to grow 12 than 1.

@PiaJSigler Some people will not be persuaded by words (“can’t bring facts to a feelings fight”).. hopefully they will be persuaded by your success (on keto). If not, there’s nothing you can do - keep doing your thing and maybe they’ll come around someday. I have one in my family…

If you think DEI was meant to address equality of opportunity, then that’s a noble cause.. but I think you have to concede that, in practice, it has become equality of outcome (which puts it on the wrong side of history). I assume that, like me, you’d want the most competent pilot or surgeon.. not a less competent one that’s been artificially elevated and put in their position over more qualified candidates (that have been unjustly held back because of their sex or the color of their skin).

@staceyabrams I’ve admired you because of your intelligence, morals, and track record - I don’t care about the color of your skin and don’t want to know what happens in your bedroom. Focusing on and elevating these things over competence is a misstep.

@elonmusk I always assumed he was “on the level” (a real scientist, highly intelligent, etc), but his stance (and doubling down) on SpaceX has been illuminating (and disappointing) - turns out he is to scientist as the legacy media are to journalist.

The real problem is that Neil decided to grovel to the woke far left when he got hit with a #MeToo. You can avoid being canceled if you beg for forgiveness and push their nonsense ideology. The truth hurts.
Colin Wright@SwipeWright

Neil deGrasse Tyson should stick to physics. It's now abundantly clear that he's willing to lend credence to sex and gender pseudoscience to stay in the good graces of the woke Left. This is not the behavior of an open and honest truth-seeker. realityslaststand.com/p/neil-degrass…
