⚠️ 5 pm Update ⚠️
13,300+ outages currently. Systems Control has reported that TVA dropped power to some of our substations in West Williamson County. Our team is working to restore power to those affected through other routes.
The ability to route power to limit the impact of issues like this on members is one of the many ways MTE has built resilience in our grid through the years. Despite the large number of outages, we continue to see progress as our crews and engineering teams work to respond and restore the system in the aftermath of such a large-scale weather event. Unfortunately, we aren't able to prevent all outages as evidenced by the photo sent in by one of our linemen earlier today.
As night falls, crews continue working in rotating shifts to restore power outages. We encourage you to stay home if you can and not get out on the roads. Travel was dangerous during the day and even more so as visibility decreases. If you are driving near crews working, move over to give them plenty of space and go as slowly as possible to ensure you pass them safely.

@NashSevereWx Police should be able to pull these folks over and ticket them. I drove 1.5 miles today and saw two that were much thicker than the one shown in the picture. Ugh.
