@kimmaicutler Thank you! I had another conversation w COVID command today about it. They're still looking into it. Literally we could vaccinate teachers & be back in schools on a similar timeline as Berkeley. Supply isn't the issue--they can put aside 3000 each of the next 3 weeks. Done.

The city government should vaccinate educators, period. 🙄 Why is this so hard? Other Bay Area cities are organizing mass vaccination events and no, this is not the school board’s fault. This is on the mayor.

We’ve even adopted additional safety standards to really have quality schools in regards to safety: - 6 ft. distance instead of recommended 4 - cohort size of 14 students instead of however many students can fit in the space

Today I spent the morning at one of our school sites which has been working incredibly hard, alongside DPH, around a safe return to schools! Our school administrators and our district staff have been working non-stop to make this happen, a task that is hard to do across the state
