@mindflexor @SilkOCE @IceManIsaac That PS5 number is from May at S3 launch. That number was beaten by Steam based on Weekly Active User estimations on the same week. I did not talk about sales in last post. You are the one who also claimed Console numbers were much larger when they aren't

@isCryptiK @SilkOCE @IceManIsaac Sales don’t prove current activity, and comparing PS5 weekly players to Steam concurrent players is apples to oranges, so the claim that PC has the larger active player base is unproven.

Spelling it out: We know ranked BR > 1B hours Then BR as a whole > 1B hours CQ and BT within 0.2B of whole BR 0.8B < (CQ, BT) 1.2B hours Oblit = 0.4B hours Therefore MP total hours are ROUGHLY 2B to 2.8B hours from JUST CQ, BT and Obliteration.

@mindflexor @SilkOCE @IceManIsaac Again you are conflating concurrent numbers to weekly active users. Additionally that number from Playstation was during Season 3 launch when PC was 70-80k concurrent players that puts WAU at between 1.5 and 3 million players on STEAM alone.

@mindflexor @SilkOCE @IceManIsaac That isn't concurrent. Thats a rolling window of players each unique player that has launched the game. Of the last reported 23 million sales PC is estimated to be 12 million of those. Thats PC beating both Xbox and PS5 combined. PC is still leading the charge.

@IceManIsaac @SilkOCE They say in the second mention that its Battle Royale not Ranked Battle Royal. Its a free to play title that was marketed quiet a lot at release it even got its own special release. It dropped ranked and died in one of the largest regions in the world within 4 weeks.

You're assuming that last bullet point encompasses ALL Battle Royale and not just regular Battle Royale (Solos, Duos, Quads). They branch off ranked on its own above, so I assumed that was just reg BR. Either way, worst case scenario the REDSEC community is 1/4-1/3 the population and that's fucking awesome considering they haven't done much at all to promote it (compared to massive MP marketing pushes), only just started tournies, and just added solos 😅 Even at the worst possible metrics, the fact that it's matching Conquest and Breakthrough is still a massive win in my books.

If you read what they wrote in that announcement the opposite is true. MP is very much eclipsing the free to play portion of the game, by likely more than double since they only counted Conquest and Breakthrough. Also minimal cheaters? lol. Asia had multiple ever game in ranked.

By my approximate calculations. Despite the name being bad (REDSEC) Battle Royale in Battlefield might be eclipsing Multiplayer. With over 1.2BN Play hours. BR in Battlefield is in a very healthy spot. Minimal cheaters, better gunplay and less bugs in the last few updates.
