@dramaticweasel If it's any condolences, every lab has its weird thing that everyone swears works. It's a side-effect to having a bunch of people who are trained to search for patterns in one small space. I'm sure they've seen weirder- in my lab we play lullabies for the equipment

@JackieJrAprile @richardslamfist Uh, should you be admitting to this? In most NJ municipalities you can get sued massively for raising rent for unreasonable motives or unfairly affecting specific tenants (the second one actually being a federal court thing)

@richardslamfist full time landlord here, this is not true. we only increase rent when tenants are annoying.
a tenant once texted me about a repair on a fridge and put “XD” at the end so i increased the rent bc it made me cringe. its all in the tenants control whether we increase rent or not.
