@rdmtennisfan it was before injury. in the same year she was top 10 she finished top 75. she had an amazing 2/3 weeks, fair, but it doesn’t mean she was supposed to be a top player

she played great tennis to win that USO fair & square, then had her momentum completely stalled by injury.
imo, she was mismanaged by people around her and wasn't grounded to humbly work her way back up.
e.g. Pliskova, Andreescu, Stephens all played RG qualies.
