i haven't seen One Battle After Another yet but the rating polarisation that i'm witnessing in my letterboxd feed over it is the most extreme i think i've ever seen lol

Cops on Sniffies, Government falling off the bone, people arguing about pronouns, twitter gays having twink offs, more cdjs busted at venues, haven't installed the new Ableton, right wing politicians getting caught watching trans p*rn, D*plo still ugly as fuck & going to hell...

the idea that making art is a luxury we shouldn't indulge when things are bad in the world is evil exceptionalist garbage btw. people in the worst situations on earth still sing and paint and write because communing through art is essential to sustaining our humanity
