No tengo ningún problema con Mourinho. Me parece un gran profesional. No le quiero en el @realmadrid . Creo que otros entrenadores estarían mejor capacitados para entrenar en el club de mi vida. Opinión personal. Nada mas.

@Chude_ND1 I used to live in Utako, the place was abandoned and became a marketplace for drug dealers and home for mad people. Defecation here and there, it was a shame. I'd rather prefer it to become home for some people rather than the eyesore it was.

Jabi Lake is gone, built 20 years ago by the Obasanjo administration. A place that serves as a recreational center, which has accommodated the whole of Abuja, is about to be shut down due to the selfish interests of politicians. They sold it to a real estate company. So sad to see. Now, the beautiful Jabi lake will be surrounded with residebtail houses.. No room for recreation, sightseeing, or fun activities anymore.

@BashirAhmaad Madrid plays better with him. The statistics are clear. He is selfish and individualistic and doesn't pass the ball when needed. He lacks basic football imagination. Madrid plays better with No. 7 leading.

@DrJoeAbah @pokigbo you've made a good referral to the book, and i hope those that marvel at China's transformation can buy and read it, however you didn't give your audience any opportunity to interrogate your perspective. What is Knowledge if it not critiqued and shared.Good recommendation though.

A little while ago, my brother @pokigbo invited me to join a small book club of select people. Every month, we read a topical book, meet at his lovely home, discuss the book for two hours, and then enjoy a sumptuous dinner prepared by his beautiful, intelligent wife. Last Saturday, we met in his home to discuss the book ‘How China Escaped The Poverty Trap’ by Yuen Yuen Ang. Remarkably, we were joined online by the author herself and in person by the Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria who shared his lived, empirical experiences of China’s transformation. I actually gave up watching a crucial Arsenal match and braved the Abuja rain to join. 😀 What I found most remarkable about the book was how China used what it already had, including imperfect institutions, to lift their people out of poverty. They did not wait until they had “strong institutions” or to eliminate corruption, before they led their people to prosperity. It was growth and economic prosperity that led to stronger institutions, not the other way round. They used what could be called ‘Directed Improvisation’ where Beijing set out a vision and then allowed the provinces to innovate and compete among each other. Anything that worked in one province was encouraged and replicated elsewhere. It was humbling that cities like Shenzen alone had double the GDP of Nigeria! And there weee many more cities! It was a refreshing break from the mud pit that Twitter can be. And no, you cannot join because he carefully curated who he invited, and each participant brought a particular perspective that complemented others'. From policy makers to academics to senior government officials (current and former) to young men and women. Although you can’t join this particular book club, you can start your own book club, since I’ve shared his template with you. 😀 I look forward to next month’s book, the informed discussions and intellectual sword crossings, and the lovely dinner and good wine. 😀

No Airport in Iran is operating. They all have been reduced to rumble. All their military bases have been reduced to ashes. They currently don't have any functioning air force. All their planes and runways have been hit. Their airspace is a playground for Israeli's planes. By the time they surrender, they will not be having any government official alive.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) must urgently reconsider the February 20, 2027 date it has announced for the general elections. That date falls squarely within the Ramadan period (February 7 – March 8, 2027), a sacred season of fasting, reflection, and spiritual devotion for millions of Nigerian Muslims. Elections are not mere administrative rituals; they are national exercises that demand maximum participation, physical endurance, and collective focus. Fixing such a critical civic exercise in the middle of a major religious observance reflects poor judgment and a troubling lack of sensitivity to the nation’s socio-religious realities. In a diverse country like Nigeria, inclusive planning is not optional, it is fundamental. Something as basic as choosing a broadly acceptable date should not be mishandled. It speaks to competence, foresight, and respect for citizens. If INEC struggles with getting a simple matter of timing right, Nigerians are justified in asking: what assurance do we have that it will competently deliver free, fair, and credible elections in 2027? -AA

@AminaJMohammed Wokeism is why @UN is losing relevance in the world. What is the reason for the holidays, it's Christmas, when civilized humanity celebrates the birthday of Jesus Christ, why is it hard to acknowledge the reason for the season, by saying Merry Christmas 🎄.

I enjoyed watching this video❤️ I have seen a couple of videos from this family and I must say that I like how they're committed and intentional about raising their children. They're not only teaching them their cultural values but also grounding them in the faith. That said, do find time to go to confessions; to prepare the stable of your heart and make way for Christ to be born there.

A blessed Gaudete Sunday! On this third Sunday of Advent, we embrace the joyful spirit of waiting as we prepare for Christ's birth at Christmas. Today, we change the liturgical color to rose as it symbolizes joy and hope with a "brightening" of the color violet. As Pope Leo noted in his homily today, "in the Liturgical Year, it is the Sunday 'of joy', which reminds us of the bright aspect of waiting: the confidence that something beautiful, something joyful will happen."

Today, I was privileged to brief President Bola Ahmed Tinubu(@officialABAT), GCFR, on our ongoing financial sector reforms and the progress we are making to stabilise the economy, strengthen revenue systems, and unlock new opportunities for Nigerians. I remain fully committed to delivering measurable results for the Renewed Hope Agenda and ensuring that every policy we drive translates into real impact for households, businesses, and communities across the country. I wish His Excellency continued strength, wisdom and good health as he leads our nation through this critical phase of transformation.

STATEHOUSE PRESS RELEASE PRESIDENT TINUBU ORDERS THE WITHDRAWAL OF POLICE OFFICERS GUARDING  VIPS FOR CORE POLICE DUTIES   President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has ordered the withdrawal of police officers currently providing security for Very Important Persons in the country.   Henceforth, police authorities will deploy them to concentrate on their core police duties.   The presidential directive was issued at the security meeting President Tinubu held on Sunday with the police, Air Force, army chiefs and the Director-General of the Department of State Services, DSS, in Abuja.   According to the Presidential directive, VIPs who want police protection will now request well-armed personnel from the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps.    Many parts of Nigeria, especially remote areas,  have few policemen at the stations, thus making the task of protecting and defending the people difficult.   In view of the current security challenges facing the country, President Tinubu is desirous of boosting police presence in all communities.    Already, President Tinubu has approved the recruitment of 30,000 additional police officers. The federal government is also collaborating with the states to upgrade police training facilities nationwide.    Sunday’s meeting was attended by the Chief of Army Staff, Lt General Waidi Shaibu; the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke; the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun; and the Director-General of the Department of State Services, Tosin Adeola Ajayi.  Bayo Onanuga Special Adviser to the President, (Information and Strategy) November 23, 2025

Genocide In Nigeria. A government has no business forgiving bandits and terrorists who have kidnapped, raped, killed and despoiled its citizens. The job of government is to send them to their creator, who will then decide whether they should be forgiven or not. Government should not be busy with arguments on genocide or not. A serious government will be busy with tactics and not semantics. How do you stand before people whose family members and friends have been killed to argue whether to call it genocide or infanticide or murdercide? Leave the argument on terminology and terminate the killers by every means possible. It is totally unfair to the victims when we dissipate more energy on what name to call this murderous rampages without stopping the killing spree. Whatever can be done to end these bloodshed should be done, if calling it any name(Genocide, infanticide, ethnic cleansing, crime against humanity etc) will speed up the end, let such name be crafted in BLOCK LETTERS please. The term 'Genocide' has become politicised and is distracting us from forging a common voice and front against the malaise. It should not. Let's not argue too much about that term, let's rather use it to get global attention to the killings in Nigeria and a sustained pressure on the Federal government to launch relentless onslaught on the murderers. Let our Muslim brothers and sisters also document the mosques that have been destroyed and the Muslims that have been killed, send the report to influential Muslim countries like Saudi Arabia and the UAE, asking for help to end the killings. I suppose that is exactly what Christians are asking America to do. Our government should now have the pressure of dialoguing with those foreign nations on how to help it end the senseless killings. Is there any shame in asking foreign nations for military help? Even the almighty USA has allies and relies on their help for certain military interventions. May Nigeria succeed.

This man is the First non Arewa "Governor" of the FCT since the beginning of the 4th republic. That position has been turned into the birthright of some elements who believe the control of the FCT is for them alone. They want him gone ASAP because they hate a Southerner who is bold and courageous. Anything to humiliate and ridicule him is what they will support. It's unfortunate that many naive Nigerians especially from the South and middle belt cannot compartmentalize and understand what Nigeria is all about. That was how neoliberal and self righteous hypocritical people in the south got Kemi Adeosun removed under Buhari only to be replaced by someone else completely. He is not perfect but he is far better than all past FCT minister put together. If he was Usman or Kingibe, they will defend and whitewash him till eternity. Nigeria is the definition of "realpolitik". Nigeria requires brains and self awareness to survive.

The Sultan at Sokoto is not part of the solution. He is part of the problem. He sits on a throne that has not backed down on the dream of conquest to the sea. This is why he looks away as his foot soldiers plunder indigenous lands. President Tinubu, embark on a blueprint to liberate indigenous people from the caliphate. This is more important than economic reforms. A house can never be built on a faulty foundation. Migrants who came to our space to plunder our lands and take its wealth as spoils of war cannot be stakeholders on the table when our future is discussed. Until Nigeria is renegotiated, Sons of the caliphate should be excluded from power and no Fulani man or sympathizer should ever be allowed to rule Nigeria.

In the next 10 years this terrorists who are currently controlling gold mines and lithium mines in North West and North Central will become extremely awash with cash just like the RSF in Sudan and start challenging the Nigerian state full blown, by then it will be too late

People that celebrated the lynching of Deborah a Northern Christian because of blasphemy are lecturing us that America hates us? The nihilists and luna:tics that jailed Mubarak Bala for being an atheist in Kano in a secular country are telling us about a united Nigeria? The same anarchists who organized and funded a violent protest while waiving Russian flags are suddenly lecturing us about patriotism because their systematic annihilation of Ethnic minorities in the North is being globally scrutinized???? A lot of you need to separate our support for Tinubu, our love for Nigeria and understanding the radicals and terrorist tendencies of our fellow Nigerians in certain areas of Nigeria. If we play to the gallery and shield this Nihilists, they will destroy all of us with them. This is not about religion, they are extremists who are at war with the secularism we enjoy in Nigeria.
