@ass_deans Students arrested to student protesting ratio would be a key indicator of success and must be lower than faculty to student ratio as a recruitment tool for the next admissions cycle.

We are cracking down on protesters in the same manner as our aspirational peer institutions. It’s a KPI in the strategic plan.

@ass_deans Will you file charges tomorrow for misconduct since those arrested also missed their classes? These faculty members truly have sunk into a new low with this new excuse to slack off.

There are two types of professors. Those who protest and those who enjoy watching their colleagues getting arrested.

@aliciaandrz Your 1st chapter is a sculpture - before you play w the materials & gather your easier stuff together (the other chapters - much easier to write) you don't know what you are writing in the introduction and first chapter. Seems ironic but it is the key. Start with other chapters!

I seriously just wrote pages trying to figure out an organization for the first chapter & I'm in the same place I started. & I've been looking at this writing & the ideas for a decade. I just don't know how to move forward, wrap up, read everything I should read, do a decent job?

can academics who've finished a book please offer some encouragement or advice? I just don't know that I have what it takes to finish & I need the book for tenure. I read what I have & I just don't think it's good or important & the work it'd take to get there feels unmanageable.
