Mantzoukas on @taskmaster will either lead to a golden age of cross-continental comedy or reignite tensions between the UK + America unseen since the 1800s. There is no middle ground. I've dealt with this man + his chaos many times. This will be brilliant but might not end well.

@christapeterso he so clearly thinks he's just done something cool and/or edgy too, it'd be depressing i had a shred of sympathy for him

I don’t like when men try to harm me out of anger, and that includes trying to seed searches of my name with claims that I’m dangerous and warnings against supporting my work. It feels violating and scary to me, I hate this so much

@lowtheband as much as I love the recorded version, the demo of "The Plan" included on A Lifetime of Temporary Relief is just one of my favourite Low tracks ever
English

Thank you. “The Plan” is a beautiful song. I remember the first time it came out of her. It was in the basement at the house we rented in Lakeside. The sun was coming through the half window, motorcycle parts spread out on the floor…
I love you all. Thank you for listening.

@lowtheband listening to my CD of The Curtain Hits the Cast today, The Plan is so haunting. Mimi's voice is something fuckin' else, man. and then Over the Ocean hits. what a record my brother

@lilieswithout i found it used long enough ago that other than seeing the video for "Hit the North" i'd never heard them, and "The Birmingham School of Business School" made me an instant convert

@ismathers “The album is characterised by its harsher sound in relation to the previous year's Shift-Work, and is influenced by techno music” 👀👀👀👀👀👀👀

@lilieswithout desperately curious to know what you make of Code: Selfish when you get there (and lots of the others, of course)
English

@lilieswithout would love to know what you'd make of Isolation Drills
English

@lilieswithout I feel like I've tried a couple of different times (pretty sure I've always kept "Svefn-G-Englar," "Hjartað Hamast (Bamm Bamm Bamm)," and "Olsen Olsen"), but it's not edited together nicely, you know?
(also, any chance this series might move to bluesky sometime?)
English

@lilieswithout this one of those where i feel like there's a great 35-45 minute album hidden somewhere in there

@lilieswithout some people have dead eyes but manage a genuine seeming smile otherwise, or the eyes seem normal but the smile is a little off... not jimmy though
