Mantzoukas on @taskmaster will either lead to a golden age of cross-continental comedy or reignite tensions between the UK + America unseen since the 1800s. There is no middle ground. I've dealt with this man + his chaos many times. This will be brilliant but might not end well.

I don’t like when men try to harm me out of anger, and that includes trying to seed searches of my name with claims that I’m dangerous and warnings against supporting my work. It feels violating and scary to me, I hate this so much

Thank you. “The Plan” is a beautiful song. I remember the first time it came out of her. It was in the basement at the house we rented in Lakeside. The sun was coming through the half window, motorcycle parts spread out on the floor…

Broken Social Scene— Feel Good Lost: Finally starting this round with an album that just perfectly fit the mood of the day I listened to it, the first snowfall of the season, calm and slow but heavy and beautiful. Expected very little, got a whole lot.

Guided by Voice— Bee Thousand: Fittingly, this lands halfway between my love of Vampire on Titus and my solid enjoyment of Alien Lanes, though its mood is significantly brighter than either. After something like two decades of animosity, I think I’ve finally become a GBV fan.

Sigur Rós— Ágætis byrjun: It’s nice :) I’ve never been a big Sigur Rós gal, the music just doesn’t stick with me, but they’re awful pretty and i’m rarely unhappy to hear them. That’s my middle of the road Sigur Rós take.
