@NelsonXLee @vercel @anything @supabase vercel built too many things that billion dollar companies use to not be a billion dollar company. Anything is no where in the same league as even supabase

Gonna flesh this out in a 2k-word article later this week. Companies like @Vercel, @Anything, and @Supabase are great $1B companies, but they’ll never be $100B companies. Their business model prevents any power law.

I think @midjourney can really show how good its model is if they opened up a consumer api that lets people working into workflows or a @fal collab endpoint.

Every month I periodically see the recycled take that “something better than chat” is coming for AI. That chat is temporary. In fact, I predict the opposite. More of our work and life will happen through chat and voice interfaces of increasingly intelligent agents. 🦞 OpenClaw is the lobster in the coal mine of this. It’s true that as humans we consume with all the senses. When we use our internal company agent at @vercel, it can answer any question in English, but also plot data and richly visualize it. All in the chat medium. You start with any question, and receive periodic reports, much like an enterprise claw, on @slackhq. If the chat is not enough, you’re one click away from more depth and refinement on a web page. I don’t believe web pages are going anywhere. Many will evolve to accept natural language, which is the lingua franca of AI, and stream both text and complex data. We call this Generative UI (eg: json-render.dev). And web pages will also be crucial in enriching the conversations that happen elsewhere, whether you’re chatting with your agent on WhatsApp or Slack. We’re building chat-sdk.dev to make this universal interface as easy to deploy as possible.

@midjourney @azed_ai i think an api would boom some sales, mj by far best art director but other models are great at type/upscale, i think youd find a step in every genAi workflow because of the the "taste"

Midjourney v8 alpha feels like a clear step forward overall: faster generations, better prompt understanding, cleaner text, and an HD mode when you want extra detail. As I said, this is still an early version, so I understand the bad results we’re getting. I just hoped we wouldn’t be seeing them at this stage

🚨 ROLEX EXPERT WARNS “SUPER CLONES” ARE NOW SO REALISTIC EVEN JEWELERS CAN’T SPOT THE FAKES — AND IT’S ABOUT TO GET WORSE A veteran watch dealer with nearly 30 years in the business says the fake Rolex market has quietly crossed a line most people don’t realize. Years ago, spotting a fake was easy. “You could hand it to me and before you finished your sentence I’d say… nope, fake.” But now? He says the new wave of “super clone” Rolex watches look so convincing that he can’t judge them by eye anymore. Now he has to: • Open the watch • Put on a jeweler’s loupe • Inspect every detail inside and out And even then… it’s getting harder. According to him, the factories producing these clones are improving every single year, and within the next 2–3 years, he believes it could become nearly impossible for anyone without decades of experience to tell the difference. He says the same thing is already happening in luxury jewelry. “Just like Cartier. They stopped authenticating Cartier bangles and Van Cleef pieces because the replicas got so good they couldn’t reliably tell the difference.” The bigger problem? He says fewer young watchmakers are entering the trade, meaning fewer experts who even know what to look for. If “super clones” become indistinguishable from the real thing… what happens to the entire luxury watch market?
