The Iranian city of Mashhad, known for its religious significance, is closing outdoor spaces in at least 110 restaurants and coffee shops in a morality crackdown.
The cafes have been branded centers of 'nightlife' in a bid to stop people from gathering.

Something seriously wrong with people defacing a young girl’s gravestone. But is there more to this?
Yalda Aghafazli was a 19 year old protester who died mysteriously a day after being released from prison last November.
In a phone call to a friend as she was being released (shared online which I heard and will always remember) she says “they wrote in my file, ‘the convict did not express remorse,’ and I said yes, I will never express remorse. And to the last moment, I accepted everything I’d done. I didn’t cry, I just shouted and screamed, that’s why my voice is so hoarse. Look, you can’t even imagine how much they beat me. Can’t talk much now but (ouch, my back, ow) I’ll tell you face to face when I’m out. I’ll tell you everything.”
A day later she was dead. Reported as “suicide”. And thus a disturbing pattern began to emerge with many other young protesters released from prison.
Now the frequency of this pattern is on the increase, so these protestors - even in death - are being targeted and discredited.
Her father Mehrdad announced the defacing of his daughter's face on her tombstone on Instagram:
"Yalda you were such a threat to them they’re even afraid of your tombstone. I am so proud of you.”

Mohammad Sadeghi, the Iranian actor who was arrested last month while filming himself criticizing the return of morality police to the country's streets, has been charged with "encouraging people to engage in corruption and prostitution" and "inciting people to commit acts of violence," a source close to his family told @hra_news.

First, they shot her, blinding one of her eyes; now, they've summoned her.
#Kosar_Eftekhari, an Iranian woman who lost an eye to an Islamic Republic agent, was summoned to court today. Her response was: ‘Taking my eye was not enough? Has the place of the plaintiff and defendant changed?’
If the international community turns a blind eye to this systematic harassment against the protesters, the regime will feel empowered to summon more victims, especially on the anniversary of Mahsa Gina Amini. Let us stand together and be their voice.

Tapes of same-sex acts among prominent muslim clerics and Islamic Republic officials have gone viral in Iran. A scandal that exposes deep hypocrisy of regime officials who promote strict sharia laws
1.Mehdi Haghshenas, a firebrand cleric who promoted strict hijab for women, was caught engaging in a sexual relationship with his brother-in-law.
2.Reza Saghafi, responsible for enforcing draconian hijab laws in Gilan province, has been implicated in sexual activities with other men.
These revelations have gone viral on social media. Islamic Republic denies the existence of LGBTQ community and imposes severe punishment on same sex relationships. But when public officials engage in same sex acts, the regime covers them up.

In their violent drive to crush the anti-state protests that have roiled Iran over the last five months, Islamic Republic security forces have shot scores of young protesters directly in the eyes, resulting in the loss of sight in one or both eyes in numerous individuals. Now some survivors are being prosecuted.
Consider the case of Kowsar Eftekhari, who was shot at a street protest in Iran and has now been summoned to court.
“I will appear in court with my lawyer to defend myself against the charges. Blinding me wasn’t enough?" she on Instagram.
"You took away my eye and you’re still harassing me. Have the accuser and the accused switched places? Was I wrong to be silent about the eye you took from me? Why have you made my life full of tension?”

Ghazaleh Chalabi was only 32 when she was unlawfully killed by security forces during the #WomanLifeFreedom protests. Not one official has been brought to justice for the hundreds of people killed. States must exercise universal jurisdiction to hold those responsible to account.
