@LarryFishburger Larry, you bring something special to the lobbies that cannot be replicated or replaced. I always laugh when you're around & I always know there are going to be come good hijinks. Have some more confidence in yourself because you are awesome. Not everyone will like you, but I do.

I genuinely try to never take negative comments personally, but it really sucks seeing someone say I ruined other creators for them by merely being on a lobby/video. I know I can be loud and obnoxious but damn.

@KaiGearhart I typically start a game then finish it to completion, though other times I will add other games into the mix. It really depends on what I'm feeling. What's most important is that you're enjoying it. If you're enjoying it and having fun, viewers will too.

Question for Streamers and Viewers: Do you think it's better to start a game and then play that game every stream until it’s beaten, or mix in other games/just chatting streams to break up the monotony? Sometimes when I play the same game for a week or 2, I can almost feel people getting bored of it. This is one of the reasons I swap games so often (I also just can’t resist playing a new and shiny game that looks fun). Because of this, I almost never beat games. The backlog of games I need to beat is eternally expanding and showing no signs of shrinking any time soon. At this rate I will die and come back as a ghost with 100s of games worth of unfinished business.

Article 175 of the Penal Code is currently a hot topic in Japan. This law prohibits the dissemination or display of "obscene material" to an unspecified or large number of people. For example, selling uncensored depictions of genitalia, even in manga form, is highly likely to result in arrest and severe penalties. Overseas users may have also seen parts of Japanese content blacked out or blurred. Even Japanese people cannot explain what benefits these censorship practices bring to society. While I do not advocate for conforming cultural practices to those of other countries, this practice, which is inexplicable even to Japanese people, should be changed, and I would like to bring it up for discussion in the Diet.

Japanese VTuber agency PANDORA has trademarked "XTuber," a new term for a so-called "next-generation" style of VTuber, and the community has thoughts. Pronounced "cross-tuber," the idea is to have creators active both through a virtual avatar and in real life. "The goal is to maintain the freedom of VTuber culture while breaking away from the assumption that fans will never get to see or meet the flesh-and-blood person behind the avatar." They've already launched an audition program called Project YOHANE to find new XTubers, open to anyone of age as of February 2026. The backlash came quick though. Users pointed out how the name sounds like a certain adult website, others claim that YouTube's creator guidelines actually ban the word "Tuber" from being used in official names and trademarks, which could be a problem down the road. On top of that, plenty of people aren't happy about PANDORA acting like hybrid virtual and real-life streaming is some brand new concept they invented.

VTubers Around how much would you need to make each month from VTubing to go full time? Assume it's stable income from month to month even though that isn't how it really works.
