@itsBlazeD2 @RunnerMitc80465 @JakeSucky No other dev studio could do it in general. Bungie is Destiny and if someone else were to make it, it simply wouldnt be close to the same. Bungie still designs great games, theyre just inconsistent with good updates/expansions

@JakeSucky A petition won’t change the game having less than 1,000 concurrent steam players for months. That 400k just literally wasn’t there so there’s literally nothing people can do or say to convince funders that years and years of data and controversy was a coincidence. Morbius x10

My predictions for Bungie/Destiny: Destiny 3 will get greenlit… eventually. Easy win for Sony, but with stipulations. Many years away, but budget will have to be much more efficient. Bungie overhead will need to drastically be cut. This could be total personnel, top level, perks, office/campus closure etc. Destiny 1 remake is released, likely outsourced or small internal team. Solid way to get back to the roots of Destiny, the story, less clutter, and hit that nostalgia wave. Nice revenue bump too. Marathon will continue on as it’s honestly good. It may not get Destiny numbers, but will remain consistent enough to maintain for a while, while the gaps get filled. Now pie in the sky thought? Destiny 3 gets announced at the PS6 reveal. Nothing huge, just a small teaser and title screen ‘Destiny 3’ with no release window. Just hype to move consoles. I say all this with the upmost respect to the Bungie team. I have many friends there. Many I have previously worked with in my career at various places. They are the best of the best. I don’t want anything bad to happen to anyone, and these are just my realistic thoughts based on my industry knowledge and the way the industry is shifting. There is money on the table with more Destiny. How we get there will be what changes imo

No it doesn’t. D2 was a mess to work with, has a ton of spaghetti code and had so much tech debt it’s not funny. Why do you think it took them forever to give balance patches and fix bugs. Marathon on the other hand is easier to maintain and develop for because they reworked their tiger engine for it. An extract PvP shooter is also less complex in scope and therefore doesn’t require the resource drain that Destiny did.

Again idk what this metric proves…? Marathon was never supposed to compete with Destiny. Can we all just stop with the steam chart posting and just play what you wanna play…

It's a shame that, while the Marathon community supports Destiny, the same can't be said about the Destiny community's support for Marathon
