Cleveland had the alternate universe Dolphins draft with Concepcion, Denzel Boston, McNeil-Warren, Taylen Green... I'm hopeful on Miami's group. Needs were filled with players with appealing traits.. With the fraction of seething Fins fans I'm seeing, I never know how reflective that is of the general fan base. Perhaps just a small angry minority. It's really impossible to know.

An encouraging night for Heat rookie Jakucionis - well beyond the four threes and 14 points. He's rebounding (five), playing a responsible floor game (4 assists), doesn't look at all overwhelmed and is defending with verve. His size (6-5) has been an asset defensively.

For those wondering if Silver would ever even consider giving Heat a pick eventually, the answer likely will come if he's asked in a press conference or live interview in coming weeks/months. But only Miami market cares about this, so I doubt national media would ask him.

I'm highly skeptical if Heat will ever get a pick back, but even if they did, nobody involved is expecting this pick aspect to be resolved anytime soon. So there won't be a Christmas pick gift for Heat for a Giannis bid. Windy says Giannis will order Bucks where to trade him.

I have great respect for Ross as a businessman/person. We can only dream of being as successful. But my issue goes back to: Why didn't he know front office wasn't adequate after Charles Harris over Watt; or the screwed up tank; or Josh Rosen; or Noah etc? That was 5-6 years ago

Agree with Florio on this. Among the reasons why your mailman and the produce manager at Publix seem quicker to identify Dolphins' shortcomings and poor hires than the owner does.

It has become increasingly clear that Tua is capable of leading a playoff team only if everything is perfect around him, only if he’s playing with great players at most positions. And in this cap era, that's unrealistic. The QB decision likely will be left to the new management team and coach, if Ross can momentarily stop trying to transform West Palm Beach into a mecca and focus on fixing a franchise he has repeatedly failed.

While this likely would affect Jaquez minutes, so be it. He will play if it he earns it... It should not affect Pelle's role if he's the player they think he can become.... Jovic's minutes actually could rise because Kyle Anderson was backup center at times late in year. No backup C on roster at moment.

Heat is going to need to address shooting, obviously, with Duncan gone. Found it notable that they guaranteed Keshad Johnson (they see something there) instead of leaving spot open for Burks. No room for Burks now. Other option with Keshad would have been hoping he cleared waivers & give him 2-way. Now moot, with his modest deal having been guaranteed.
