ive been in the US for 12 years, went to UC Berkeley and Stanford, contributed to AI in cancer diagnostics, drug discovery, and enterprise AI agents, and it is increasingly looking like I will never get a green card and the country does not want me here.
Homeland Security@DHSgov

An alien who is in the U.S. temporarily and wants a Green Card must return to their home country to apply. This policy allows our immigration system to function as the law intended instead of incentivizing loopholes. The era of abusing our nation’s immigration system is over.

Guys, I need your help: Been getting dozens of messages daily about starting a Subscription on X. It would basically contain things that I don't wanna spam on my main feed. Like lots of random research/thoughts on different companies/news/macro. AI & non-AI related. Maybe even some community-requested research like I've been doing recently w/ $PENG / $OUST? And all funds would be donated of course. Would this even be of any value to you guys? Genuinely curious.

Contrary to what people/algos think: Getting 2.5% dilution passed with $SIVE is actually extremely positive in this case. Since that helps them get listed on US Nasdaq ASAP. Not sure if there’s any share issuance arbitrage at all impacting short term prices. But getting access to US institutional capital to accelerate expansion + repricing out of small Swedish markets is priority.

Not too shabby? $IQE is now up 4x since in the past 3 months. $MTSI paying off their debts does derisk the company long term. I’m curious if anyone listened anon?

Serenity@aleabitoreddit

Not exactly! I'm just a tad more familiar with photonic supply chains than I am with energy so I like picking potential winners. Just wanted to introduce $IQE into the equation like i did with $AXTI, so I could do a "Did you Listen Anon?" post 3 months later if it turns out well.

This is new information discovery that $LITE is forced to buy CW lasers from external competitors. Likely because they have EML contracted from 2027-2028 and can't produce enough CW... So $SIVE is a massive beneficiary of other hyperscaler suppliers going to other CW laser suppliers + the big ones in Asia like Sumitomo + $COHR. We'll see if markets can put 1+1 together.

Woah... Massive CW laser bottleneck. It's interesting $LITE is bottlenecked by CW lasers so they buy them on the open market: "Now we’ve seen a little bit of tension in our own supply line, externally to get lasers from the external market, CW lasers." $SIVE / Win, Sumitomo, Furukawa, and others operate in a structurally sold out market... Likely because companies like $LITE have to keep producing EMLs. Starting to make more sense why Ayar made $SIVE the only laser supplier on their website and removed $LITE / $MTSI?

The best performing thematic basket in our universe since the recent market lows is our “AI Power Plumbing” basket - comprised of analog semis names making capacitors, PSUs, inductors, magnetics, MLCCs and discrete power semis. We were a bit early to this - at the end of 2024 , we flagged the whole analog stack between the grid and the GPU as boring, deeply cyclical, and an asymmetric corner of the AI buildout the market kept ignoring because of a dual China/Auto-cycle overhang. It took a little longer than we anticipated, but the analog cycle finally turned and content per server keeps climbing. Names like TXN, MCHP, STM, ON, AOSL, VSH, DIOD, ADI, Infineon, MPWR, VICR, Murata Manufacturing, TDK, ALGM, WOLF, Nippon Chemicon, Sumida etc…a lot of quality names that still have a long way to go to match the re-rating of names in memory, optics and compute.

@aleabitoreddit Crypto has just need run to the ground lately.. nothing explains why you’d invest in anything crypto centric over companies in the AI boom. Not sure where we go from here tbh

$COIN only says this crap after they got their conditional banking charter approved. Pretty sad to see the entire industry get sold out under this administration. Enjoy your .05% checking account interest while traditional banks profit a 4% spread shafting every day US retail. Had hopes we’d actually see some positive change.
Paul Grewal@iampaulgrewal

After months in rooms at the WH and Senate, this much is clear: a lot of the public debate overstated the risks and ignored the substance. This outcome preserves activity-based rewards tied to real participation on crypto platforms and networks, which is what the bank lobby said they wanted. We've long believed that this issue did not warrant legislative changes. But whatever-- we’re focused on getting a bill done and are satisifed that this language should not be the basis of any objection. Onward.

I had a decent month. Everything from: $AAOI went up 100% to $SOI went up 153.9%. $SNDK +70% or $INTC + 97.7% or $MRVL +54% or $ARM +41.5% were underperformers for me personally. Curious how you all did?

Wow, names like $TOWA (6315) are super boring to watch… Especially since KR/TW markets are closed today. Only up ~11% so far. But like Hammond or Tower Semi… Towa seems like a pretty steady compounder up throughout the duration of new memory cycles. Bc it receives unavoidable capex inflows from $MU, SK Hynix, and Samsung their monopoly status. At least Enplas has some volatility… (, they grew their AI test segment 225%+ operating profit y/y) Then "Mass production of lenses for 1.6T optical transceivers has launched." Pretty sure they’re sandbagging + have legacy drag confusing algorithms regarding AI segment acceleration. Good time to take a break from watching markets I guess.
Serenity tweet media
Serenity@aleabitoreddit

So just putting it out there: Towa (6315), at $1.35B... Is a rare, living definition of monopoly over HBM4 (compression molding). It's been kinda flat YTD, but every memory company like $MU, Sk Hynix, Samsung are their customers. And each of the memory company earnings signaled massive capex increases. Even as seen with $TSM earnings, every major semi is going through a massive capex cycle to meet AI demand. And all three memory makers have printed from hbm3e and nand... so the next capex cycle is probably not like the last (meaning a lot more spend). Like $ASML, this is hyper-cyclical but I wanted exposure to the upcoming HBM4 capex ramp over these next few months. Thought I'd put this name on people's radar alongside $LPK (glass core substrates) as a functional monopoly. But I do feel like this timing is about right while every machine supplier is having a massive re-rating yet this was relatively flat. Not exactly a new find, since a few other analysts + random followers had this name but hope I get the timing right. (Disclaimer: I do hold positions, this just TLDR of my own thoughts, please don’t copy trade)
