I was on a flight once and the woman beside me was rude before we even left the gate. No hello. No excuse me. Nothing. She just looked at me sitting in the window seat and said, “My daughter wants that seat.” I said, “I paid for it.” She rolls her eyes immediately and goes, “She’s a child.” Meanwhile the “child” looked about 15 and was chewing gum like she was also tired of her mother. I said I’d rather keep my seat. This woman spent the ENTIRE flight making little comments under her breath. Every time I adjusted the window shade: “Mhm.” Every time I got up: “Unbelievable.” At one point the daughter whispered, “Mom stop.” Which honestly made me respect the teenager more than the adult.
