This is my #1 creative habit. Nothing else comes close. I used to get stuck on the couch, scrolling mindlessly. Tried breaking it with this “brick” device. Helped a bit… But this works better: Go for a walk. Yesterday, I stood up, put on my shoes, and walked to my parents’. It’s about 5 minutes by car, took me 40 on foot. While walking, I listened to a podcast. Took notes. Got ideas. It helped my body. Cleared my head. And I came back with something worth writing about. It doesn’t just clear my head. It fills it.

@itsdanpie Sometimes, many times, all you need - is a walk. A walk that clears the junk. A walk that sets you free. A walk that works.

It’s Sunday, time to reflect. A few weeks ago, I built this habit:
I sit down, think about what went well and what didn’t.
Write down everything that comes to mind. Then I turn those wins and mistakes into content ideas. Last week alone? 4 solid ideas, just from reflecting. Simple way to track your journey and create from it.
Highly recommend it.

@itsdanpie I love this take, Dan. Shit, my mind was all over the place too. I knew what I wanted but I didn't know where to start. Like you said, I had to write them down and connect the dots until it all made sense.

Struggling to set clear goals? Same. Setting them from zero used to be really tough for me. Here’s what I started doing instead: I began by creating my vision, just writing down everything I want in life. Not all at once, I do it over time. Whenever something sparks my mind, I open my notes and add it. I trust the process. Over time, this builds a really clear picture of where I want to go. Then I break that vision down into goals: 10y → 1y → month → week → day. Once I had a vision, the goals became obvious.

@itsdanpie Pro tip: Keep a "Vision Journal" in your phone's notes - it makes capturing those spontaneous life goals effortless and accessible anywhere.

I love spelling mistaks. I used to think my posts had to be perfect. No typos. No grammar slips. Total polish. Then I saw a few posts with small mistakes, instantly knew: No AI wrote this. It made me smile. Crazy how, now that AI is everywhere, we crave what feels human. Imperfection is proof. Proof that someone real made it. That’s what makes it beautiful.

Today: Everything’s alright. Tomorrow: Everything’s falling apart. — This is life. Messy. Chaotic. Unstructured. This is me. This is you. This is all of us. Learn to ride this tide. To surrender. To trust. To know— Everything indeed, will be just fine.

Dear Business Builder I get it, crafting your own thing is hard. It’s boring. It’s stressful. It’s uncomfortable. Sometimes you might even question yourself: "Why the hell am I still doing this?" But above all the struggle, never forget why you started. You didn’t begin because of the pain. You didn’t choose this for the pressure. You started because of a dream. A vision of something greater. A desire to live life on your own terms. So when things get tough ... ... and you know they will. Remember your “why.” That’s what makes it all worth it.

This effect changed how I learn any skill. My whole content is about writing. Everything I learn goes straight into my posts. You might think I’m doing it for likes, followers, and impressions. Yeah — that’s part of it. But there’s something way more powerful behind it: The protégé effect. Teaching what you learn helps you remember it, apply it, and actually master it. Every post I write sharpens my skill. It’s not about numbers. It’s about getting better — in public.
