Or they stripped the computers of every expensive part and are returning them to make profit.

This is why many stores don’t have allot of cash on hand or they have policies about paying returns in cash. If you thought it was suspicious this man bought 3 computers in cash and a few days later comes back and wants to return them, you are right. What scammers do is launder dirty or fake money by buying high price items and returning it for legit money.
